I just got off the phonewith the ert dept who are good, and they said 2 to 3 weeks for a decision. That would make it about 92 days since file was started. Litton has very poor comunication & system. If it wasn't for this board giving me the ert number the other numbers connect you to robots. It took me 3 weeks from start to finish with my second mortgage(not litton) for a mod. Could I ask you what was the advantage of useing NACA? |

Prior dealings with Litton were with collections and they just wanted to take a payment. NACA apparently has some clout and success with obtaining loan ods. They took all my paperwork and submitted it electronically to Litton. I wonder if I need to submit additional paperwork. I'll call tomorrow. Thanks and good luck to all! |

When I called Litton, they told me it is in the mail, so I'm anxiously awaiting for the docs.... Were the terms they were proposing (interest rate) decent? |

From what others have been told it's an internal plan that mirrors the Obama plan. See this link... Req'ing Mod from Litton & GMAC...just starting |

I am both working with Litton directly and with Save the dream as well (they have been nothing less than wonderful to me). I was told by Save the dream if we both work with Litton we will see what they offer to each of us. They also said don't accepet any mod. offer from Litton before calling them and letting them know what they offered. My understanding from my contact at Save the dream is they still don't have ANY contacts at Litton and that Litton is not helping AT ALL with any of their mods.. So Save the dream has had to forward my file to a company in Cleveland (still funded by Ohio and the Gov.) that does currently have a contact at Litton. So in the meantime I have been sending in all my info to Litton as well. We started this process the first week of March...Until my call to the ACTUAL loss mit. department last week NOTHING had been done. Since then, they have documented in my file they received all my paperwork from my first fax back in March, ordered my bpo, and I just faxed 23 more papers they needed this morning and I called five minutes ago and it was already in the system they had received them! Not that I am getting my hopes up but that is where we are in the process...Litton did say, per Amarilo Watson today that once the paperwork is received and the bpo results are received then the package goes to the investors and then is when they decide if they can offer you a mod. and what the terms would be. Once you receive the paperwork in the mail (if you are one of the lucky ones to get a mod) it will have the offer and new terms in it. At that time it is up to you if you are going to accept it. If you accept it you sign it and send it back if not you don't sign and return it. Hope this helps |

The packet I received after 6 months of being in "process" states that they are not participating and that I would not receive any of the benefits from the program. I am still waiting to see if this is a good deal or not. They didn't lower my house payment but did change it from a ARM to Fixed which increased my mortgage payment by quite a bit and the rate is not that great (if I figured it out correctly it is now at 7.35%). They work out plan as they call it is a trial period for 3 months, there is no guarantee at the end of it that they will modify my loan. So am now in a wait and see mode. Any one else going through this right now? |

I just received last week my packet from Litton for my trial period and was given two weeks to reply. I have been working with Litton for 11 months and have sent my paper work in 5 times because it was lost and then needed to be resubmitted with the new Obama plan. After two phone calls and 3 transfers I have found out my lower interest rate is only for 5 years then will go up. All this is so upsetting because I have been working at this for so long and now they are giving me what I asked for last year with a lower rate but my credit score is in the dump and $27000 was tacked on to the loan for late fees, payments and penalties which makes us now over $65000 upside down in our home. We are meeting with an attorney this week to see what our options are. |
