I find it best to keep in contact by calling them every week. Don't wait for a letter, it just pushes getting help out longer. They will tell you over the phone if they then want more info. If they want more info. fax it to them, then call in a couple of days to verify receipt. You will more then likely still get a letter sent out but now you are ahead of the game because you knew they needed more before you got the letter. I have had no problems doing it this way. I'm now past this part and our info is being past on to a Freddie Mac specialist. Should take about a week to hear from someone I was told....keeping my fingers crossed that all goes they way we need it to. |

I have proof that I did. I'm tired of their lies. I started digging and looked up how many loans Flagstar has actually modified in the the county court records and was so dissappointed to see that they have only modified 4 loans. 4! The last modification was filed in June of '09 and not one since then. I would have to imagine that anyone that got a modification this June had to have started the paperwork process with Flagstar in at least January? Way before Obama's plan even was put into place. So in reality, it looks like they haven't approved any "Obama" modifications in my county. Not one. I live in Port St. Lucie, Florida, one of the top 10 foreclosure cities in the country and they aren't even doing anything to try and save homes this area. Flagstar did however file 23 foreclosure actions with the county court in August alone. 23 Foreclosures/0 Loan Mods for August. Looks like they would rather just take the bailout money and then also get the insurance $ take your home in foreclosure too. They aren't interested in Obama's plan. I would love to hear from just ONE person who has actually gotten a loan modification from Flagstar through the Making Home Affordable program. What a joke. I encourage you to research your county records online to see what kind of activity Flagstar has recorded in the county records lately. I'm interested to see if anyone else sees Flagstar is actually participating in Making Home Affordable or if they just enjoy wasting my paper, ink and time. |

At the bottom of the letter from Nationstar it says "This is an attempt to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose". We have never been late on our mortgage. It looks like from some other posts here that Flagstar dumped a bunch of mortgages (possibly all that were looking for loan mods) to Nationstar. The letter has the wrong mortgage payment due amount on it and the wrong due date...almost like it doesn't belong to us. Very strange. |
