Wells Fargo Mod

I am needing some assistance. I recently was divorced. So that put my income in half. I have been late on my mortgage payments pretty much since the divorce. My mortgage is through wells fargo. I tried some kind of payment plan. But it seems that I still got the phone calls and constant letters of default. Any time I call them I have to explain to each person over and over what is going on. Here is my issue, I went to the 2 websites that *** has stated for stability and mod. It says I may be eligible. What are the steps that I need to take to get my boat moving in the right direction? I have lived in this house for 8 years. I only owe 73k left. My payments are 950 a month on a fixed 6.75 rate. I dont want to give up the rate and I dont want to loose my equity. So what can I do. WF just seems unforgiving. I would like to get my payments knocked down, so that i can be a responsible person and make my payments on time. If anyone can help I would appreciate it..

Re: Wells Fargo Mod

Hi kimsay,

Welcome to the forum and thank you for joining............

There are a couple of things that you can do at this time...............
first.........try calling the executive team and see if they will reconsider you for the new program that was announced on March 4th in which Wells Fargo is participating...........
1-800-853-8516

here are the guidelines to look over and see if you qualify...........
http://www.treas.gov/press/releases/...guidelines.pdf

or

If this is the only property that you own...........you can try NACA instead if you would need some help negotiating with your investor through Wells Fargo for a low fixed rate modification........NACA is a HUD approved counseling agency and their Home Save modification service is free................
Here is the link for the info.........

Re: Wells Fargo Mod

So called the ex. like you said and because I filed Chp 7 bankruptsy, WF wouldnt even talk to me. They said I have to get a letter faxed to them from the attorney stating that I the borrower has permission to talk to them. If I filed chp 7 why is this. I didnt include my house in the bankruptsy. So why now do I need permission to talk about my own account.

Re: Wells Fargo Mod

You didn't mention the BK in your initial post..................

It is because they are a debt collector.........and a BK prevents any debt collectors from speaking to you without permission of the court.
