Laamim...unfortunately I can't really advise as to whether or not you should agree to a forebearance, each situation is very unique and decision is personal. That said... if Stacy is an analyst assigned to your case... I would talk to her extensively.. don't be afraid to ask questions. Is this forebearance a trial period for new Obama plan... if so a lot of people are being offered forebearance as part of that plan. |

So the notarized signature worked. I don't have online access yet as they send you the password in the mail for security reasons (I am still in Europe), so I don't know what it says on our account. Now I am getting ready to tackle the 2nd mortgage. I have a 9% home eq. loan with BofA. Does anybody know if they modify these, even just to reduce interest? The loan is worthless by now, I assume. |

I am gonna try the phone numbers you gave me in my other post and see if I can get assigned to someone and they can start this process for me. |

She was assigned to me by the executive office. Besides, they don't really pick up the phone, in my experience. Since she was in California, like I am, I assume they delegated the task to someone in "my region". If you can't get in touch with anyone, write an email to the execs like LHarveyMadman did (and most of us). I don't know if the process is different now with the Obama MHA plan in place. @HopingtoFind, thanks for the phone #, I'll try it. My 2nd is not a HELOC though, it's a regular Home Equity loan with 9% interest. Eeeek. But my priority was to modify the first, and now I can deal with the 2nd. I'll post any new development. |
