loan modification expired

As requested by the bank, I submitted the homeowners info. package in April 2009, receiv'd automated call and mail from bank was receiv'd and being processed within 30 days. I called bank 8-18-09, they explained, bank was not set up to accept applications until June 2009, but still continued to collect them. Since the bank is only up to March 2009 now, my application has expired within 90 days. I called them, they didn't call me that it expired and informed me, I need to fill out package that is including new paperwork, as per stimulas package requirements. They assure me, I won't loose my spot, but would have to do everything all over again. I feel, if they weren't ready to take this on until June 2009, why supply public with package and hire more help. My purpose of applying is unemployed and eating away at small savings when this benefit was suppose to be made to prevent this.

Re: loan modification expired

Hi ghjunky welcome and thank you for joining.

One of the most important things you can do is constantly follow up with the bank at least once or twice a week so nothing slips through the cracks...
