Lifelinefinancial Rip off

In my desperation to get some help with a loan modification I naively let this group of scammers scam me out of 2,500. This was back in March, before all the news broke on modification scammers, or before I noticed it, and I really thought I was dealing with a legit company. Their web site looked good, testimonials and all -unfortunately, it took a while to realize that they were always the same old ones- so I paid and prayed. Boy, I am so angry at being ripped off at every corner I feel that I could just pop. And after Sovereign Bank denies my modification for the 2nd time and tells me to get a lawyer, someone on this site tells me that the banks don't want to talk to lawyers. What the hell is going on here?

Hi Olassh,

I'm sorry to hear that this has happened to you, there are still many scam modification companys out there preying on homeowners.

Not exactly sure about this, but from my personal experience working with CW a lawyer would pull some leverage in achieving a modification, but is not needed in every case. Have you already tried on your own or gone through NACA?

The Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America ("NACA") is a non-profit, community advocacy and homeownership organization.
