Need help with impending foreclosure

I currently have been battling with Homecomings for a repayment agreement that is within our budget as we can afford our home but had some major setbacks when my wife became ill.
I currently have a sale date of 9/10. What I need to know is if the trustee did not post the sale in the newspaper as stated by law in Virginia can I use this to get the sale postponed to allow me more time to workout something. I have contacted a lawyer but she is swamped at the present time and I need to know if this is an avenue that is even worth pursuing. Thanks so much.

Dude, get the lawyer....do it now. You are out of time. From what I understand, they can stop it. Last/worst case scenario?? File BK.
