HOA go after me for unpaid fees - Loan Modification Forum

Hi all,

I need your advice. I lost my condo last year. Now the HOA send me letter and told me that they will hurt my credit score if I don't pay them $4000 for the HOA fee before the house was foreclosed. They said they will take me to small claim court. It tooked Countrywide almost a year to foreclosed my house and we moved out because of the crazy neigbor upstair.

Please advice me.

Yes, they can do this if they like. If they win they will get a judgment and can try and pursue a wage garnishment or just collections.

Often, just ignoring these guys for 7 years will make them go away. As time passes, the collection activities decrease.

Thank you for your respond. I am thinking to make a deal with them and just pay a portion of the fees. I am just worry that if I don't do anything they will keep charging me the interest and possible legal fee if they take me to court.
