We were able to get a loan mod with Chase but have had no luck with Litton. We have been trying to get Litton to modify our loan for over a year. During this timethey have lost our paperwork and we have to re faxed our info to them. Of course every time we call them they say it's "in processing". We have paid what we can but are still behind about $2000. We have never recieved a denial letter, only a letter that they received our paperwork for the loan mod and are working on it. Now they are saying it is in "charge off" and is scheduled to transfer to Mountain Peaks Financial on Oct 8th. Of course I don't want it to go to this company as they are not a mortgage lender. I'd rather work out payment options with Litton but they are IMPOSSIBLE to work with. They will only let me speak to the charge off department and they do not return any of my phone calls. I'm thinking at this point I may need to get a lawyer involved in order to save my house. Any advice you guys can give me here is truly appreciated. ETA: We both got jobs a few weeks ago so we have money coming in and will be able to pay them on a regular basis now. |

You should find out who is the President and Vice President of the Companies are and call and fax them all your information and communications. Also notify your financial regulator in your state via a complaint against the companies. See if you get a response then... |

We actually contacted their Executive Resolution team and I emailed all of their executives before and got a bunch of hot air. I am thinking of doing that again and maybe also sending a letter to my congress reps and CCing Litton as well to light a fire under them.. Otherwise the only route I know to get their attention would be a lawyer. I just hate for it to come to this when all they have to do is return my call and work out a payment plan. |

We called a HUD housing counselor but they can not see us until Oct 5th which is three days before it goes to Mountain Peaks. They said just call Litton and tell them we are working with them and ask for an extension. That's pretty hard to do when the customer service will not speak to us and the charge off department refuses to return calls. Sigh...thanks for all your support everyone. It means so much to have someone here to at least listen and offer encouragement. |
