Citimortgage will not talk to me... Can a lawyer make a difference? Trying to SHORT SALe

I have this broker that has helped alot of my friends in short sales but when it came to citimortgage. She faxed the short sale packaged VARIOUS TIMES until they finally acknowledged it! Which was March 24th BUT they are now saying that it didn't come in until MAY 14th.

They told me that my HOME was for foreclosure processing since APRIL 12th. BUT that the short sale can still go through.

My realtor tells me that we are going to loose the BUYER since it has been so long already!!

I'ved searched in the internet and it seems tons of people have had this problem with citimortgage but has not seen any resolution. She says a LAWYER will not make the difference with them.

When I call I just get very minimal information and they told me last week that I need to speak to somebody specifically and gave me her extension. I even left messages to the supervisor. We call 3-4 times weekly! but no answer or replys... and the CHANGE the person handling my loan MONTHLY!!

Is there ANYTHING I CAN DO? Will a lawyer make the difference, if so, then HOW?

I live in Florida... stopped paying in December.... Still paying association... heeeelp!
