We purchased our home in April '06 with an 80/20 loan in the amount of $98,000...nothing down....home appraised at $134,000.....Chase held both loans.... In Nov '06 we re-financed with AmSouth Bank in the amount of $116,000....took the extra money to pay off work truck & do home improvements to make the house liveable.... AmSouth sold out to Regions Bank and our loan was sold back to Chase....income for the refi was verified with tax returns. Husband is the only one on the refi loan. After seeing numerous posts on this forum about predatory lending, exagerated income etc. i decided to look at my loan docs....never had a reason too before now. I find that i do not have any documents on the refi loan that was done with AmSouth....only copies of the original $98,000 loan. I have contacted Chase in writing about getting copies but they have not responded. My question is where would i obtain copies of my refi loan if i cannot get copies from Chase? I have applied for a loan mod through Chase but am researching other options in case it doesn't go through and will most likely need a copy of the loan docs in the future depending on which route i go if the mod doesn't go through. I am in the state of Florida..... Roxane |
