My husband and I had a home that was foreclosed on in 2008. The first and second mortgage was with Chase. The loan was in my husbands name. On his credit report it states dyck Oneal opened the debt in 10/2007. I am to assume they purchase the second mortgage before the home was sold in the foreclosure in 2008. Also on the credit report it says the debt started reporting in 11/2008. We have never contacted them or acknowledged the debt. The balance is 48,000. I am trying to find out if this debt falls under the statue of limitations and will fall off after 7 years? I am in the state of Florida. Also the debt is reporting as an Installment loan 120 days past due every other month. I have contacted Equifax and can't seem to get a straight answer. I have even call the FTC and consumer protection bureau. No one can give me a straight answer. Thank you

I'd like to ask your help reading my credit report and understanding my score's behavior.

I was foreclosed in May of 2009 with a first & a 2nd. All purchase money.
2nd didn't receive any compensation, was totally underwater.
I'm in CA, no recourse.

Both loans show as Closed on my credit report.

The first says closed 10/5/2009 and there's a line on the report which says Estimated Month and Year this item will be removed 9/15.

The 2nd, fortunately, also shows closed (I know some face the challenge of continued report of lates).
It was closed 4/15/2011.
My question... it does NOT have an estimated date when the item will be removed. Now, I can do the 7 years +180 days math, sure, but I'm curious why it doesn't have that date.

The reason I ask is... my credit score just keeps dropping, and I can't really find a reason why.

I'm current on my debts, have a few credit cards I use strategically to keep credit. I have student loans I've avoided over paying to continue to show credit history (but do keep current on). I haven't been applying for credit, haven't run my cards up and changed my debt/equity, anything like that... but every 3 months when I pull my score, its lower. For example -
9/2011 I was a 769/c 43 percentile (transunion)
11/2012 I was a 714/c 31 percentile (transunion)

I'm wondering if any of you has seen this behavior in a 2nd - with it not having an estimated removal date - and if the 2nd is somehow "not really" closed. Given the history of others having them open, I'm reticent to specifically call and ask anyone, for fear of the re-opening it.
