As the economic downturn persist, I saw thousands of people in my employer alone getting laid of and I believe this is everywhere. I'm now 60days behind on both my mortage and worried that if this bad things persists, and if I you get hit and loose job, will new employers take foreclosure or BK against you when considering you for a new position in their company and they saw this when running your credit report? Lets say for all professions other than accounting or financial jobs? I highly appreciate any inputs and I'm from CA which have the worst unemployment statistical data nowadays. God Bless to everyone on this good forum.. |

Frankly, not being tied to a home and having the ability to be mobile, may be a positive thing in terms of getting a job. At least your won't be tied to a geographic region. When looking for a position, consider (as I did in 1999) finding work in a a career path that is not effected by the sort of lousy economic times we are currently facing. The joys of tenure and union protection (with a seniority list in place) provide me with comfort that few employees have. Take care, Daniel |

This is what I've been doing now, looking for a new opportunity that is sustainable no matter what the economy is... I don't wanna be caught offguard by my employer not prepared for my long term strategy... |
