But these people at my mortgage company are brutal. Here are some of the things they've told me: "You should short sell the home becuase it's the right thing to do, morally. I would do it if I were you, but then, I might have more morals than you". -Yea, I'm sure that after a long day of harassing home-owners in distress you go knit sweaters for orphaned kittens "Maybe I'll just ask my supervisor to send out the foreclosure notice early, since you aren't cooperating." -After I've sent in a loan mod request (which was denied) What's the worst things the mortgage company has said to you? I'm sure you guys have some really good ones... |

I find that information and knowledge are the best weaponry against these morons. This is a game. They will do or say anything to get your money. Don't let them push you around. In my phone calls, they've been mostly polite. So far. Maybe it'll get nasty when I get closer to the foreclosure sale date. |

The letter said to not contact me by phone, either at home or at work or thru other people. I gave them a yahoo email that I created and said that all communication should be done thru the email. I did not receive 1 phone call until 4 days before foreclosure when an automated system called me and left a phone number. Don't put up with their antics. Send a letter. Also, change your phone number and go unlisted, that may help. |
