The next day we had a note on the door from a local realtor informing us the house was sold and asking us to contact her. We called the next day and she told us we needed to negotiate directly with the bank as far as when we would surrender the keys, any relocation assistance, etc. She told us she would forward our contact info on to the bank and they would get in touch with us in 10 days or so. Today is the 18th and we've heard nothing. Nobody has come by the house (as far as I know anyway, we moved out on the 5th), no calls, nothing. I'm actually getting sick of waiting and plan to call them soon myself. Seems we could have easily stayed there another month without any problem. |

Or are they getting postponed by the trustee for some random reason(ie. backlog of sales, etc) I don't know if I should plan my move before the auction date or wait and see if it gets postponed a month and ride it out longer to save up more money. |

The only way I found out was I kept checking the county court records to see if they updated my info and nothing. So I decided to call and the person told me that the auction was moved at MY request. I explained to her that I did not request any such thing and the next date stuck and it sold. |

We have confirmation about the one we like and about to get leasing terms and move out this weekend. I plan to move some of stuffs to the rental and maybe leave a couple of clothes and mattress until county showed house not under my name anymore... I will try to negotiate cash for keys as well so I would like to hear from someone who experienced this already to give us tips how to negotiate and get the most $$cash for keys BTW, do you need to change your mailing address now or it can wait until it is sold? |
