Obama - 2nd Mortgage Forgiveness??

I heard bits and pieces on the radio this morning about Obama talking about forgiving 2nd mortgages without tax consequences if sold in a short sale.

Can anyone confirm this? Tried searching on Google with no luck.

There was an article I think in US News or New York Times about it. It's in the beginning stages of planning but if I remember right all it talked about was short sales and Deed's in Lieu.
