california bill SB2X-7 and AB2X-7 - Loan Modification Forum

hi everyone i live in the state of california and i was reading about this bill passed into law by Arnorld Schwarzenegger sb2x-7 and ab2x-7 going into effect may 22 2009. i received my NOD on april 13 and i was wondering does this forclosure moritorium apply if yer already in default thanks? my lender is countrywide.

Note that this "moratorium", if I'm reading the bill correctly, only applies to lenders who do not have a modification program set up that meets the criteria in the bill. At this point I believe nearly all of the big lenders DO meet those criteria, so impact of the bill is likely to be pretty small.

so will this bill affect most sherrif sales and forclosures for california?or is it up to the lender? or is it by law im confused i read bill also but dont really get it. is there a second opinion out there? thanks
