NOD: Filed June 04, 2009
No sale date set yet

My missed payment is recent, but I'd LOVE for more people to post in this thread, I'm really trying to figure out approx. when I'd get the NOD. Posting so this shoots up to the top =)

Hi OCdreamer, I haven't made a payment with Countrywide since Oct 2008. No notice of default as of June 19th, hopefully you'll be as lucky as I am dragging on. Good luck.

I just posted an update in another thread. No payment to CW since Sept 2008, no NOD yet. How much longer is anyone's guess.

We've received several calls, and someone (an independent inspector working on behalf of the bank) stopped by our house on 6/18 just to make sure it wasn't abandoned.

I have friends with Countrywide that stopped paying last year and havent heard one word from them.

REO Property Co. obtained our home on 06.12.09. Home was auctioned off on 06.09.09. We are currently in negotiations for cash for keys. They are asking us to provide a dollar amount?! I want this over with so I dont have to be responsible for HOA fees anymore. We already moved out in April and currently renting a much bigger home for half of the mortgage we used to pay for 4 yrs. NO REGRETS!

okay, so we have 2 wks till we give up the keys and get cash in return. they asked us for a dollar amt... we said $3000 lol! they said its too high and $1200 is more workable. so we settled on $1500. oh well, cant get too greedy right? anyways, im glad we already moved out in april. only things left to do is clean the house and donate or haul unwanted items out this weekend.

How did you initiate the cash for keys thing?

I may have made a fatal mistake trying to get a loan mod... they know my income so they are being REALLY difficult to deal with now

I've asked about cash for keys and got chewed out for even proposing such a thing.

The calls on the Heloc have basically stopped, call from 1st about a month ago to update financials and the Mod request through NACA is still under review.

well, u have to wait till the trustee sales goes thru. our home went to auction in june and a "real estate owned" (reo) company obtained the property. the company then contacts you to negotiate for "cash for keys."

it wasnt hard at all. we got our rental 2 months before the trustee sale date. we were upfront and told the rental company exactly what was going on w/our home (impending foreclosure). as long as we have the income, theres no

As of mid-July BofA couldn't care less, one phone call and one letter. CitiMortgage has us on speed dial it seems and also send a few letters a week rounded out with weekly emails. They have moved on to YELLOW paper to let me know they are serious.

So what's next for me? They said I have up to Aug 19th to pay... Any advices????? My timeline seems to go by fast.........

maybe these lenders are sending us these types of letter to scare us off... i'm not scared but just stressed more...... hang in there!

Well again update no N.O.D. last payment 7/01/2008 did receive a notice of intent back i Feb. Oh yeah Yesterday I received a notice telling me they do not got a copy of my insurance and that they will supply it if they do not get by Sept 1st. I actually have current insurance I paid for myself so i will send that proof. being in Ca it take 3 months 21 days Min. from N.O.D. I guess I will be here close to christmas.
