I have recently gone through a divorce and have a 1st and 2nd through CW. The first is a 30 yr Conv Jumbo Arm and the 2nd is a 20 yr Conventional. Unfortunately, when we refinanced (2 yrs ago) CW put only my name on the documents and not my husbands, even though he had the bulk of the income. Now I am left trying to deal with the mess. I am 2 mos. behind in payments and CW has agreed to do a DIL if I pay $8000-$10000 upfront. Unfortunately, I have to put all the money in before any documents are received. This seems very risky to me. Does anyone else have any experience with this or advice? I have until Wednesday to make a decision or am forced to do a foreclosure. The house has been listed for sale for 10 months now and they are telling me FMV is 330,000. Total owed for 1st and 2nd is 627,520.00 I am in California. Thanks for any help you may be able to lend.
