I have paid my payments via their website with my CU checking account. Do I need to open a new account with same CU or open account with a different CU to be safe that Wells doesn't try to get access to my current account's funds? |

My Wells Home Eq. payments were automatically deducted from my CU account and I went by a branch, filled out a form, stopping the ACH withdrawal and that worked. Just stop paying them, you should be fine keeping your checking account at your CU. |
