Credit hit update - Loan Modification Forum

My score was 790 in Nov, month of my last payment.
It's now 670 or something... or maybe its 570, can't remember exactly, I have it at home, will post it when I get back home. But the last score did have the default payment on it.

Also, I had an Amex CC with $14,000 limit (incl. $2,200 cash advance limit).

I got a letter, after the NOD (Mar 15) was filed, that the limit is now reduced to $1000 with no cash advance. I didn't really have any balance on that one.

I have a couple of other credit cards (2K to 6K limit) which have not changed yet.

I'm just happy that AMEX didn't close my account as its the oldest account I have.

lol... your credit score after taking huge hits and receiving a NOD is still better than mine after trying to maintain other bills and still make a ridiculous mortgage payment for 4.5 years

Freedom from this stinken house is going to be oh so nice!

I checked my report again and my score fell from 790 to 670 as of Mar 10, after 3 missed payments. The 670 score is before the NOD was filed.

I haven't checked the credit report as of yet, but my guess is it's bad. I tried to apply for a Vitoria's Secret CC and I believe it got denied, because there was no instore approval, but the sales lady said that didn't mean I wasn't approved....yea right.

My Amex Card is now down to $1,300 limit down from $9,000.

Not yet... I was kind of waiting for them to file an NOD. I spoke with WF 2 days ago about the possibilities and they said they are mailing me info on Short Sale and Deed in Lieu.
I've already talked to a Realtor and will be putting my house on the market by the end of this week.

CAWalker, Just curious, when did you start skipping mortgage payments? I thought about hiring realtor to do short sale for me as soon as I have NOD. Its been my 4th month and didn't see one yet... please let me know..

My NOD came on the 16th day of the 4th month.
Another person I know who lives in a different part of the city got his NOD after 6 months.
Different banks, different timelines.

if your credit is about 800 then your house gets foreclose about how low does your credit score go .
also how long before you can ever buy another home.
