Hubby has not been productive you could say, he keeps getting laid off. We have tapped everything we have, and this month I have the rental income, but it does not cover the loan payment in GA. We have requested a Deed in Lieu. We tried selling it, actually had a buy, and Wells Fargo lost our paper work 3 times, and the realtors 3 times, but then the buyer walked. So all that is left is the DIL. We don't want to file bankruptcy, but when his unemployment runs out in 9 weeks we will not have enough to live on and we are approaching 60. So, I have heard that GA does not take DIL? So what is my path to get rid of this debt and not incure huge expenses. The home was bought as a princpal residence, we did not rent it out until we left the state. We have very little income and a tax bill is not something we can afford. I may have to cancel our health insurance just to eat and try to keep our home. What is our best choice here? And how long does a DIL take? Will Wells Fargo lose the paperwork again? thanks for you comments. |
