Pre-Legal Notice Received from Capital One Bank

Hello ,here is our story with credit cards debt. We stoped paying our bills for Capital One about 5 months ago. Ignored all phone calls and letters. Our balance is 15K , few days ago received a letter "pre-Legal Notice" saying that if we are can ot pay the minimum payment of $2, 135.00 they will proceed with the Lawsuit. What is our next

step, should we call at this 800 number provided on the notice and try to negotiate and settle the account or just wait longer?

Yes it would be a good idea to start negotiating a settlement right away before they move forward with a suit.. You can call the number and make a verbal offer over the phone and send in a settlement letter as well CMRRR so you have proof they received the letter..
