Citibank is showing past due & charged off despite being included in BK7 four years ago. Loan was not reaffirmed. I disputed with credit agencies but inquiry came back "verified". Doesn't this creditor have to show "part of BK"?

They would have to show included with the bk. You may want to send the copy of the document showing the account number and the Citi loan information showing the discharge and that it was included, directly to the Citi dept. you were dealing with for the settlement.

I'm pulling up list of discharged accounts now. Thx for advice. Another question. Although this account is not properly reporting, I recently settled with this 2nd mort. holder. Can they re-report to reflect settlement? I don't want to hurt my credit score by this creditor essentially "reaging" this account.
I am not sure, that would be something that you should be able to ask your bk attorney about. You may also want to ask them about what is currently going on with the account as well. They may have some additional ideas of how you can handle it.

Thank you for the suggestion. Called him today and also called lender. They said they made correction but it may take 45 days to reflect on CR.

Don't forget that if they do NOT fix it, you have the right to sue them for violating a court order. 99% of the time (from what I understand), the threat of having to pay YOU money will get the trade line fixed rather quickly.
Out of curiosity, if you did not reaffirm the 2nd in BK, why did you feel the need to settle with them? Did you need them to remove their lien?
Update on derogatory: After spending two hours on the phone with Citibank and getting NO WHERE! I tracked down the phone number of Citibank, N.A.'s General Counsel in New York. Long story short, after faxing over supporting docs, they are personally addressing the matter. If anyone is having an issue with Citi, I am happy to provide GC's direct phone number. I settled the 2nd mortgage because we have no intention of moving out of our home or discontinuing payments on the 1st TD. I didn't want the 2nd coming back to haunts me if and when there is any equity in our house again![]()
Good job polterfish going to straight to the top officials at Citi, hopefully they will be able to help you get this issue resolved in a timely matter..
Keep Fighting!
