Re: Anybody have a fax number for Equifax or Experian Here's what I've found in the internet, but before you fax call their numbers first to verify
their fax number if this is correct because you don't want someone to get your confidential information fall on the wrong hands. ThInk of Identity Theft and Fraud. I didn't even give my SSN to my real estate agent until the escrow of my house close. I will not give it over the phone or fax. I have attended seminars about this matter and you don't know what really happens when someone you didn't even talk to or have no other clue why you are faxing your confidential information.
Lesson number 1 when you are faxing make sure that the number is valid and you know the person and spoke to this person and he is expecting you to fax your information.
Lesson number 2. Call right away if this person received the documents you've faxed to him, some fax machines will show they have received it, mine just disappear so I have to call my agent always.
I think it's best to write them a letter and wait like what Cat says.
