He didn't say he was *My* negotiator, he said he was with the Advocacy department that worked directly with NACA. He was able to look at my file and tell me that it actually had been assigned to two different negotiators but had never been looked at by them. He gave me his direct line and email and told me if I wanted I could contact him but it would better if I contacted NACA directly. Maybe he is just the guy that gets to handle all the heat for the President getting all of these emails and letters. He was very kind and like I said in another post I told him my whole story and that I was very concerned about the time it was taking because I need to file Chapter 7 and wanted to do so after achieving a mod so that I could re-affirm the mortgage debt in the bk. He didn't try to cut me short and gave me alot of information...questions that NACA couldn't necessarily answer.

dthom, call NACA now and ask them if your negotiator at NACA has actually spoke to a negotiator at CW about your file. From what I understand there are only a handful of people at CW who work with NACA regarding the NACA mods. If you give NACA this person's name maybe they can tell you if it is legit or not. It can't hurt!

cobra, the number that I listed in the other thread to use if you want to make a payment over the phone (specifically for NACA/advocacy) is 866-806-3254. He told me they could give me updates on my file when I called in to make a payment. Now I am not saying you need to make a payment but I am sure you could ask someone if you have an assigned negotiator.

You can also call 800-669-2443 and speak to someone in Customer Relations to find out the status of your file. This is the number that initially called me in regards to email to Barbara Desoer. They got the ball rolling for me again last Friday.

I had plan on doing that. Guess now I am a little scared I may have really messed up. Not going to tell husband I did this yet. I never thought that just by writing an email, didn't even ask for an update or anything. I did tell B Dosoer it seemed like our mod had been put in the bottom of the pile, suggested it was because we had PMI on our loan, or that it was because we were in Michigan and they like everyone else just felt we were a wasteland of unemployed workers that no one cared about. Just asked for the president to at least acknowledge that we were here. Guess I must have sounded like a real crybaby, whining about Michigan being a wasteland of unemployment! Told the girl who called me I was just really really frustrated today and that was why I emailed.

I don't think you messed up anything. You have been waiting quite a while and need some answers. If I saw correctly you submitted the first time in Feb. and again last week. I would want some answers after 3 months too. Hope you get news soon.

dthom, DON'T you dare feel guilty about finally getting someone's attention. This is your home, your stress, your life...these people need to jump to action for you...you've been waiting 4 friggin months!!! I know NACA is overwhelmed and they are the best chance we have but never, ever regret getting attention from CW/BofA. Call NACA and see what they say...like I said it can't hurt. If the person you spoke with was the same gal that initially called me on Friday she had asked me to fax over my financial info and I told her you guys already have it and that I was working with NACA...this is when she said she will have someone call me on Monday and low and behold I got a call a few hours later. Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

I gotta log off now...another uneventful day in the life of an automobile sales person. Hit me back on my thread and let me know how it goes. GOOD LUCK!

Hi Sarge, dthom submitted by NACA on 1-26 and my file was submitted on 2-28...it's crazy but we are both from Michigan and from the same city! How crazy is that. If we both get our mods approved we will be doing the St. Clair Shores Happy Dance all summer long!

Hi all,
I got a call from David of BoA to 5/15 he said that our file was only submitted on 5/8 & i said no NACA submitted on 3/30 but anyway the only thing that got the file looked at was the letter and e-mail that we are sending, my he said (David) want to the top.

I emailed Barbara DeSoers, President of BofA late last night. When I came home from work today I had a voicemail from Wanice on behalf of Barbara DeSoer asking how she could help with my loan modification questions.

I called back and left her a voicemail. So I don't know what's going to come of this but that is the quickest response I have gotten in 7 months of dealing with CW/BofA on this quest for a loan modification, so who knows? Maybe my paperwork will get floated to the top.....

YAYYYY ELENA!!! Remind me again, did you have a sale date? post-poned? etc...mine said dont call back until 5/28 for we are in review process etc, this was dated updated AS OF 4/24! I was told it was postponed and then I was in paper for trustee sale. Kinda makes me nervous but, Ive seen it all now!!! I hope it over soon for us all!!!=)

Sighting the unbelievable circumstances in the State of Michigan is exactly what needs to happen. I'm in Ann Arbor and dealing with these fools. Send emails, letters to Granholm, Cox, Michigan Housing Authority, Senators Levin and Stabenow, The House Reps in your district, HUD, ACORN, etc. Flood them with complaints about BOA/CW so they can see these are not isolated incidents and that BOW/CW is up to their old tricks again. It's time to put our elected officials to work. Write them everyday about this BS. Don't feel bad at ALL. BOA/CW is the anti-christ I'm convinced.

For all of the emails I sent, I did get a call from B Dosoer's office, from a Juanice, who told me unless I agreed to sign off NACA they could not help me, but I could if necessary give NACA her name and number and she would try to move things along( haven;t done that, afraid to trust anyone from CW/BofA. Never got any response from Stabenow, Cox or Pres. Obama. But I did get a long winded form letter from Levin office telling me how they understand my pain and detailing all of the programs the president has enacted to help save our homes, and how I should contact my lender. That is what I wrote him about, the lender taking so long to even work with NACA. Big help his office was. Don't get me started on Atty Gen. Cox. Even a form letter would have been nice since Michigan was included in the settlement with CW. I wrote his office on behalf of my son who was given a CW loan in May of 06 that in no way he could afford. Lost the home 7 months later ( sub prime), he is supposed to qualify for an $1800 settlement, I was asking for a number he could call to find out more info, all I got back was a rude letter from a staff member letting me know that since it was not my loan I could not be given that info and my son should call. I already knew that, just wanted the number as he did not have internet at the time. As for Granholm's office I have written to her before and never received a response. As for the circumstances here in Michigan, unbelieveable doesn't even begin to describe what has happened to this state. I guess in the words of Granholm " we really have been blown away".
I am still waiting on NACA restructure. File is being reviewed and info now with investor(Freddie Mac and mortgage insurer). CC companies keep wanting to know when my husband will get a new job. What planet do they live on, there are no jobs in Michigan. Oh well, ranting over for now.

On a happier note, just have to say Go Wings!
