Re: My new CW adventure...continues Congrats cobra!! That is awesome. I just got a fed ex package too but I don't know what to think. I am on a special forbearance until Sept 1 2009. My payment is now $700 less than what it was before. after the 3 months, they will have us: 1. continue with our old payment 2. reinstate the loan (paying all past due amount) 3. they will do some type of loan mod or payment assistant called my negotiator and she said this is a trial period to see if we are able to make our payment. nothing else to offer at this time. as you can see, we are very confused at this point. Naca submitted 4/6 for a 6 months forbearance of no payment. I emailed barbara d. office after reading about it mid May. Got assigned a negotiator after 2 days. prior to this my file was not even looked at. i contacted Naca today and was told to call them back near the end of the forbearance to reopen the file. they also said to fax them the this forbearance agreement as cw didn't even respond to their forbearance proposal. i am so tired of the whole ordeal i just don't know what to think. maybe the fellow loansafe members can give me some input. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Re: My new CW adventure...continues Cobra, How long did it take from someone at CW saying that thye will open your file or look over it to actually getting the approval email. I'm asking because I spoke to David L. yesterday or day before (my mind is starting to go...) and he said that he would request for 2nd time that our file gets opened and we'll go from there. He said that we might have a more official update in 2 weeks. About how long did it take for you? I know that you dealt with them a couple of weeks ago after sending emails to Barbara D but if you could give me the specific timeline again, I'd appreciate it. I have more hope now hearing that your mod came thru so quickly.

Re: My new CW adventure...continues Rumor; It was two weeks. When Julie called because of the letter to B. Desoer she said "I hope you will have a answer in two weeks". And it turned out to be true. Notice how they all seem to say two weeks. Here are my thoughts based on my experience. 1. NACA reads from a computer screen and they can only read the latest info they have from BOA. They can't tell you anymore than that. 2. Few people at BOA have accurate information, so when you talk to BOA it should be to a person with accurate info. (Like the ones who call back after you email B. Desoer. 3. I actually begged Julie from Desoers office to move my file forward because I wanted my home and did not want to get to FC. 4. There were no changes to my "status " page at NACA ever. and I check it every day or twice a day. No changes to my "workout page" on the BOA website in last two weeks. So things can be going on and you would not know it until the email from NACA comes. ***IMPORTANT** The single biggest thing I did to give myself hope was to advocate fro my home with Barbara Desoer. The people she has call you back are trusted employees within the management team at BOA. Desoer would not have a customer service level person call you back. It would need to be someone Desoer is comfortable with. That means they have access to your information and know what is going on within the company. So..their info is accurate and they have some "juice" to get something done. So..it was almost exactly two weeks after the call from Julie before the deal was approved. I never spoke to Julie again. You will get your mod just like I did. It will happen with no warning and like most things in life, when you least expect it. BTW...I'm not going anywhere. I am applying for a job with NACA. Warmest Regards, Cobra

Re: My new CW adventure...continues Rumor I forgot to tell you this......... Three people on this forum got approvals yesterday. Me, Wildcats, and Angel. You can check it out. Also Sarge got something several days ago. I know things are moving faster and more mods are coming. Someone posted that NACA said another 2300 are coming in I think. Point here is yours is coming any day!!! C

Re: My new CW adventure...continues Thanks Cobra! for the encouraging words. My husband and I were hesitant in contact Barbara D. because I was already in contact with David L. but I'll be honest, I don't know how much longer I can take of this. He said that we have to have complete faith that this will go thru and that things will work out exactly as they're meant to be but I think that I really have to put myself out there and try to get any help at all. I'm not above begging for help and I just hope that something happens soon so that we can go on without all this stress and suspense in our lives. David L. says that we should hear something in 2 weeks but the website has no change at all. I don't know if I should go down the route with Barbara D. or just wait another week or so if nothing changes. Congrats again to you and your wife! I wish you many more years full of blessings in YOUR home!

Re: My new CW adventure...continues Forgot to add....I don't want to wait to long to try to get something done in case that it gets to late from a standpoint of them becoming incredibly busy where they won't even take my phone calls or the dreaded foreclosure letter.

Re: My new CW adventure...continues Rumor; Hard for me to say what is right. I did want I felt was right for me. Remember...Desoer is the President. All the others work for her. All you are doing is trying to get your mod moving. Also the BOA website had not changed in two weeks for me. I had no idea the mod was coming so soon. I think maybe work with David for the next two weeks and then email Barbara Desoer. Remember the mods come with no warning. Mine did. Yours will come this next week I bet!! Julie from BOA told me two weeks and thats want it was. David may be giving you a signal, but he just can't say anything...think about it. Regards, Cobra

Re: My new CW adventure...continues Cobra, I'm thinking of emailing her. I don't think theres much to lose. If they decide to help, they do and if not, then I'll wait around and see what happens. I heard of some people saying that her office told them that they can't help because they're working with Naca so I hope they don't give me that line. I'm going to wait until Monday and start my email tomorrow. I think that in the end I'm going to go down the Barbara D. route and go from there. What you said is true...when you really think about it, she's above the other people and they might be able to push something thru. I'll keep you posted on what I do. Have a good weekend!! You can celebrate knowing you guys are almost done with this. Talk to you Monday.

Re: My new CW adventure...continues By the way...who is your investor? ours is Fannie Mae. David L. told me that all mods go thru the investor after CW and yours seems to have approved it quickly so hopefully ours will also.

Re: My new CW adventure...continues Rumor; My investor is Bank of NY and I've heard they have a Rep. within CW/BOA. Not sure if that is actually true, but non the less all mods are sent electronically so it can be fast. What I did when I wrote Desoer was to plead that they speed up the process. They KNOW the NACA mod is the better one, but I really pushed for them to do all they could to speed it up. I said..."Why would you foreclose on me when all you have to do is get me the mod." I WANT to stay in my house and I need your help to do it, Please move on the mod and not the foreclosurer." There was only one half hearted attempt by them to get me to drop NACA. I could tell by the way the lady was talking that she knew NACA mod was better. So I just kept on telling her it made no sense to forclose when all they had to do was get me the mod. Honestly...I begged. Whatever it takes was the way I saw it, and still do. Hang in there. Next week is your week!!!! Cobra

Re: My new CW adventure...continues Congrats!! My file won't be submitted to CW/BoA until later this week. Should I wait until it is submitted to contact Barbara Desoer? I just got my letter of intent today. What are your thoughts. Thanks.

Re: My new CW adventure...continues Merev; Just my suggestion but I would let NACA do their thing first. With a little luck you won't need to contact her office. I'd only contact her office if there is a reason your file gets delayed somewhere in the CW/BoA system. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress. Cobra

Re: My new CW adventure...continues Cobra, I read about your mod approval. Congratulations!! I am so happy for you and all the others that have been approved. It sounds like you got exactly what you needed/wanted. Wow! All that effort and patience sure paid off for you. If you remember I got a mod offer a couple weeks ago but it was not good enough so I am still waiting for a second offer. They said to try back in two weeks so I will call again on Thursday. I will keep you all posted. My best!

| Re: My new CW adventure...continues Hi hoping4change, One important thing to do is continue to follow up at least once a week to make sure everything is going good and not falling through the cracks. They will always say to call back in a couple weeks for status. But you should make sure you make a little time to call at least once a week

| Re: My new CW adventure...continues Quote:
Actually, I was calling NACA every other day since 5/21 for updates but they seemed annoyed that I kept calling. Since I know NACA can't do anything unless BofA moves the file along, I emailed David Leighton today (I cc'd Ms. Desoer) to see where I am in the process. I also asked him who my investor is. So hopefully he will respond and possibly push my file along. I had emailed David two weeks ago for something else but he never responded. I mentioned that in my email and since I cc'd Ms. D I am hoping I will hear something back. Will keep you posted. Thanks. | |

Re: My new CW adventure...continues Thanks Gata! I appreciate it! I owe a lot to you because you are one who gave me the courage NOT to accept the crap deal from CW capitalizing the unpaid balance to the back of the old mod just to bring it current. Now I have a loan payment I can live with and will allow us to stay in our home even into retirement. Thanks so much, Cobra...on the other coast.
