contact CW per NACA??

NACA submitted my loan restructure 2/27/09, NACA said to wait a week and call CW for an update. I've read past postings here and NACA reps told others not to call! Should I call CW for an update or wait the 40 day period?

Re: contact CW per NACA??

If NACA has already submitted your paperwork/proposal to CW, I would recommend calling the CW Advocacy Team that *** has posted in other posts, and giving them your NACA ID#. 1-877-327-9225

Once they know NACA is representing you, they will not discuss any account information with you. You will have to check your CW online workout information regularly and call NACA for any modification updates. 1-888-302-6222

Re: contact CW per NACA??

NACA submitted ours probably around the same time but I was never instructed to call CW. In fact I asked if I should call CW and NACA said it was not necessary.
Are you certain they told you to call CW? NACA told me they would probably contact me in 30 days or more from the time of submission. Basically I got the drift that I shouldn't call anyone until I hear from NACA first.

FLgata--will the advocacy team be cooperative with information or just tell us to get info thru NACA?

All you will have to tell them is that you are utilizing the NACA's services and give them your NACA ID#. Once that information is given, they will tell you that they can no longer discuss account information with you. I guess that's their normal protocol when customers are using certain organizations to assist them in their loan modifications. Again, all your update inquiries should be made to the NACA.

Yes, I spoke with Tim at NACA, he said call the loss/mitigation dept. at CW on monday the 9th. NACA also said if I did not hear anything from CW within 40 days to call NACA back.

Re: contact CW per NACA??

I called the advocacy team and they told me it was not necessary to contact them and they couldnt give me any info. Once my proposal was sent to them, my account was flagged that I was working with Naca, so the rep wouldnt discuss anything at all with me.

Re: contact CW per NACA??

it was hit or miss, when I was going thru the process, sometime the reps would tell me I had to call Naca other times they would tell me yes there was a Naca proposal and yes I was eligible for the 12/1 AG settlement that they were reviewing both for a modification. Be very leery of calling the Advocacy number, most of the time I called the number for advocacy (877-327-9225) the call was actually routed to home retention but I was not told that until I asked what dept I was in, and I was told a number of times by cw reps that most of the calls to advocacy were automatically sent to home retention.

Re: contact CW per NACA??

Our file was submitted by NACA on 1/27/09. I called the CW Advocacy Dept. on 2/12/09 and was told by "Gwen" that she had "coded" our file and that meant that for any updates, we would have to contact NACA. I started getting calls from Home Retention last week, so I told them I am going thru NACA. "Danny" checked our account and showed that it 'needed to be coded'. I told him I had called on 2/12 and was told it was coded then. I gave him the NACA i.d. and the name and phone number of our counselor. I guess we 'slipped thru the cracks' on being coded. It's frustrating.

Re: contact CW per NACA??

You almost have to laugh at all the different responses you get from CW (otherwise you'll cry (or scream)
We have not called anyone @ CW period. I wonder if we did call the advocacy dept. maybe we would get "coded" and not have collections call us? It's worth a shot I guess...

I was getting calls from the Home Retention Department trying to encourage me to sign and return the crap mod they had offered. Once I called The Advocacy Team, all calls (including collections) ceased.
