After becoming 3 months behind in Sept. of 2008 CW suggested a loan modification. I gave them all of the financial info. over the phone and they said they would send me paperwork to sign and send back ASAP. I did. At that time, they also told me that I could begin making a new payment of 1100.00 which was 3 to 4 hundred dollars less than my regular payment. I called over the next several months to check on the status. I was told that they were very behind on processing loan mods. and to continue making that lesser payment and everything would be fine. In Jan. 2009, I got notice that the loan mod. was rejected ( and I have gotten various different answers as to why). I also was told that at that time they would be going forward with Foreclosure since we were now 5 months behind (due to making smaller payments which they said to do.) In Feb. I sent in our regular payment amount and those checks were returned to me due to being in foreclosure. I am currently trying to go for a loan mod. again. Last night was served with Foreclosure papers from the court. No sale date as of yet. New Loan Mod. process could take 45 day. Also asking about a partial reinstatement. We are in a financial situation to make our regular payments without a problem. But we do not have the ability to make up the thousands of dollars that we are behind. Can anyone help? |

I received my loan mod package last Friday, pathetic - I posted about it under "My CW story....". Totally unacceptable - so I called and told them so! I decided not to pay the mortgage this month, since the rep told me only those at least 2 months behind get the lower interest rates!! This past Monday, I received a phone message from CW "...we are sending you a special offer in partnership with Fannie Mae, you will receive a Fedex pkg within 5 days." I tried calling CW to find out what this was all about....got the usual non-answer. I am hoping it's from the Homeowner Assistance and Stability Plan! Good Luck to you! |

If this is the only property that you own...........you may want to try going through NACA, they are a HUD approved counseling agency and their Home Save modification program is free...............they will also work with the CW Advocacy Team and your investor on an affordable modification.............here is the link for the info............... https://www.naca.com/refinance/refinanceTenStep.jsp
