I refinanced in June of 2007 and was doing fine until my wife was laid off and I was on disibilty with 4 kids. Then of course the water bill went up along with electric and gas. Then our van broke down. My wiife then got her job back, but on first shift so she lost her shift premium so she came back making less money, but the damage had been done. We are not behind on our mortgage but we are behind on evrything else. The first time I called countrywide they said they could refinance with $1700.00 closing cost and a new appraisal at $400.00 and they could lower our payments $40.00 a month. If I had $2000.00 sitting around I wouldn't need to refinance. i recently got a hold of their retention department and have not heard back. So, that's my story till this point. Thanks James |
