Payments not being taken out of my account?

Has anyone had this happen? I set up a payment over the phone on my 2nd for 2/20. There was a "check" that cleared for the $8.00 service fee, but none for the payment amount. I called and they said they showed the payment, but it just must not have went through yet. I also set up a payment on my 1st for today 2/27 and again there was a "check" that cleared for a $5.00 service fee, but no "check" for the payment amount. Has anyone had this happen?

Pay over the phone it's inmmediatelly , CW will post it right away. Just make sure to keep the confirmation number

I set up my payments on their website just as I had done with my previous mortgage co.(my loan was sold to Countrywide, sad day) but they never took the payments out of my account but continued to charge me a late fee even though I kept trying to make the payment. I even set it up on Phone Pay and they still did not take the payments. They were not sending me any correspondence to let me know they were not getting paid I had to watch my account. I finally signed up for Bill Pay with my bank and now I have no problems getting them their monies but now even though I am not late with my payments they want me to pay all the back late charges and fees they charge of which none of the problems were my fault. The CSR would tell me I provided the wrong account # even though we went over it numerous times on the phone. Still my fault. Never CW's. Its a lame company and I would love to sue them for putting a black mark on my credit report. If my credit wasn't bad now, I would refi with another company to get rid of their a@@. Now I get Late notices and more charges and letters from the PMI company regarding late payments which have been made. Its a mess. Never had this problem with Green Point. Wonderful co. I have never had a late on house payment until CW. They have a problem. They are lame. I will have to check my bank account to see that they didnt get any double fee payments. My house payment gets paid first before anything else.

I always used to pay online using their website and never had a problem, but since I am 90 days late they won't let me pay on their website anymore. The person I spoke to said to try not to get any further behind to prevent foreclosure review so I did schedule payments over the phone. I faxed documents on Friday for possible modification, so I thought maybe they didn't want to process these payments if I was in the process of a modification. I hope that this is the reason and not the problem you had.
