I signed a loan modification in October 2008, and made the now lower monthly payments in October, November, December and January. I realized the middle of January that Decembers and Januarys payments never cleared my checking account. I called CountryWide and they told me I never had a modification and I was now in foreclosure. I then called the loan modification department and they told me there was a problem with the modification papers that were signed in Oct. 08., making them null and void. The modification people,CountryWide and I then had a three way conversation. They told me to fax proof of income for the last 2 months and they would see what they could do about a new modification but no promises that they could help. I did that and...... nothing. Now what can I do to save my home? |
