Wish they could call the banks on the money they were given. MAKE them either do the mods ( no matter what it takes to make the payment affordable) or give back the billions of dollars. I know I am being simplistic, but there is still no accountability on the banks part.
I agree, if they would have helped the little people that actually needed the help and paid mortgages off, we would not be in this recession right now. So much for trickle up. Trickle down never has worked, so lets keep doing it.

Re: Failure is not an option for us....

Exactly, they are pushing the foreclosure mess under the rug. I get an email news letter from our local Senator. They are going to introduce a bill that will allow another federal extention of unemployment benefits here in Michigan and other states with unemployment higher than 8,5%. It is predicted that in Michigan 100,000 people will exhaust their unemployment by the end of this year. Just think how many more homes will foreclose when these people don't have any money coming in at all, or very little from a spouses job. Banks better save what they can now, because it is going to get a lot worse.

I'm starting to think more and more that both parties are as one with the same goal. (perfect world of one) They're putting on nothing but a circus act for the little people. I will be pissed if we do not have a public option, there's no excuses for them this time, they had better do the right thing.

The public option is nothing more than the freedom of choice, and that my friend is what America is supposed to be all about.

Re: Failure is not an option for us....

Cassie,

I just read what you wrote...Wow..it's never ending with BofA. I swear! I saw that you said that you haven't been able to get a hold of David for over a week now. I spoke to him last on last Tuesday and that's about it. Our mod was also canceled and he said that it was one that was offered thru Hope and to make a long story short...he was extremely helpful (as usual!) and today, our account was finally updated to new info today. Lord..I hope he still works there. I think of how big of a help he is and BofA needs to hire more people like him. I'm sure it's gotta be a mistake How could they possibly just cancel workouts without informing anyone??!! It infuriates me! they seem to have canceled a lot of mods recently and yours probably has just one of them. I'll be checking back more often to see what happens. I'll be saying a prayer for you tonight...also for your daughter and grandbaby

Re: Failure is not an option for us....

Dthom,

I'm so sorry for not keeping up more often. Just so you know, I get on everyday and skim the posts to see if you've posted anything on your regular post. I won't stop getting on here until I see your good news. This website was a life saver and offered a wealth of information. I saw what you wrote about Genworth and I don't see any harm in it. If they offer to help, go for it! as long as it's not a scam and it doesn't harm your Naca mod, why not? I mean, Naca seems ot have changed a lot and I also thought they would get us a great deal but they could only do so on our 2nd and not on the 1st. The 1st one came from Hope and it was unexpected. It saved us in the end because Naca couldn't help because of Fannie Mae. I think they seriously are a great company but some things are just out of their hands. I don't think theres anything wrong with having more people helping out as long as it doesn't mess up your chances with Naca.

I'll keep you in my prayers for your good news soon!!

Thank you everyone for your support and prayers! Trying to chill out about it today.... Still trying to reach David though... I am wondering if he isn't taking incoming calls now and only returning v/m's and emails.... Hmmm... who knows.

I think I am gonna call BofA back and see if I can get someone to tell me what date the negotiator closed the mod....

Re: Failure is not an option for us....

Update: I called the advocacy department back and asked when the mod was closed.

The person I talked to today said it is not closed, it is cancelled! What?? Then she said that doesn't mean it's permanent, but there are no guarantees. I asked "when" it was cancelled....it was cancelled on 08/31/2009 because they said that I did not provide updated financials. I asked the person I was speaking with to look at 08/24/2009 and sure enough...she found the updated financials and verified that they had them. It was cancelled the same day David L. said he was going to send the proposal to NACA and call me.

She also acknowledged that the negotiator never contacted NACA to request the financials and that they show the financials came from me and NACA never uploaded them to BofA. Then she asked me about the $87,000 in credit card debt and payments!!! I have told them time and time again that $80,000 of the $87K was my second mortgage. They had the 2nd mortgage listed and the cc (including the second)!!! OMG! She told me I should have had NACA fix it. I told her, "be my guest!, I have requested it be corrected 4 times now and been refused!" She went over all my financials again with me...... Ugghhh, it is like the umpteenth time I have done so with BofA and NACA! I should know it all verbatim!

Hey Moe, do you have any pull with NACA? Or can you tell Marks they are starting to seriously drop the ball??!!!! This is ridiculous!

By the way....for anyone with Deutsche Bank as the investor....they are not extending terms on the mods....

Good Luck everyone!

Re: Failure is not an option for us....

Looks like the group that worked soooo diligently to CANCEL all the 'AG modification CONTRACTS' were out of things to do, so they got to take a crack at canceling out some applications this time.

They probably got special awards for some of the inventive reasons used in canceling those contracts. They can be even more inventive with cancelations of APPLICATIONS. What are the rules? None, right?

Re: Failure is not an option for us....

It totally sucks....and since mine is cancelled, I feel like I am starting all over again!

I have called the negotiators supervisor and left a message....another numner I had for Sandra Sparr goes to a Teresa Chuie (sp??) who is in the office of the chairman..... I am on the phone with advocacy again....HOLDING for what seems like forever...

I have called and left a second message with Kevin Winn today at NACA. I left him a message on Tuesday...nothing...

If I don't have some sort of resolution by next Wednesday, I am going to contact lawyers and the media. At least I have this forum as an on-line diary... No one can say I went back and changed anything since you can only edit a post for 2 minutes....

I got hold of the nicest person in advocacy today. Name of Daylene.
Found out we have been approved for MHA as of 8/27 and was able to make trial payment starting today. I posted info on J-nice's thread.

I waited on hold about 10 minutes. Call back and maybe you will get someone who is a better mood.

Re: Failure is not an option for us....

Update:

I received a call back from a NACA supervisor yesterday. He was to update my file and get back to me.

Then I called the supervisor of my BofA negotiator yesterday. The negotiator called me back at 8:15 am today... She kept saying she couldn't talk to me due to NACA and I kept chirping the mod in her ear that I could afford. I told her the terms I could do..... She kept saying she couldn't discuss with me....I told her your not discussing it with me, I am just telling you.

Anyway, she called me back at 9:40 and said to contact NACA. She found David's approved proposal and sent it to NACA! Only change is it will go up a few dollars as the first payment will now be Nov 1st!

I am on hold with NACA right now. I have already left a message with the supervisor and emailed him. I want them to accept it today!!!!!

WISH ME LUCK!

Re: Failure is not an option for us....

Let me just say WOW and CONGRATS Cassie! I've been following your threads and am so delighted to hear this great news for you! I wish I could post a success of my own but who knows when that will be. Again, I am so truly happy for you, especially with all the recent turmoil you've been going through. CONGRATULATIONS!
