I do have now to pay them the past due payment which was due 05/01/2009, but I'm afraid of after I send payment., then they will drop my case., I have the$$$$ in our savings., but since they request update documents they will see they money is there to pay them... what to do

nbtapia1, Yes your account status means they are reviewing you loan to see if it is eligible for a modification. They may or may not ask you for additional information during this LONG process.

Long process... how long 30, 60 90 days? meanwhile should I pay them last past due bill of 04/01

90+ days, I started my process 2/24 and just received an aproval on 6/7. It's up to you if you want to pay them or not, you have to decide whats best for you. If you choose not to pay them save each payment in a savings account.

Received our mod docs today.. They just tacked on 37k to the back end of the loan and kept the int rate at 7.5

What?
They didn't lower your rate?

... but at the end are you going to pay (monthly) less that before., or not

Negotiator call me today... I couldn't take her call., and I've been calling her back all day and only answer machine., now, just hope she calls me back again... What is it mean when negociator is calling me., Do they have mod for me., or more papers?

Could mean several things.
1- They are sending you a mod

2- They need more info

3- They declined mod

It was from CW. We may just take it. If we start the process with NACA now, we will have another 3 - 6 months interest tacked on. We are already 22 months behind. I have a job interview at 10, and if i get the job we will be able to afford it. Wish me luck.

Your mod sounds like the 3 I got from CW in February 09 - lowered my interest rate to 8% (from 10.55) and tacked on 23k to back of loan. I refused it and in mid-April went with NACA. Just got approved for 2% with what looks like only the interest from the 4 missed payments added to back of loan. Took 46 days to get the NACA approval....

If you have come this far, it might be worth it to go with NACA....or at least see what NACA will propose for you....

Sorry, it was 54 days for NACA approval....all those numbers flying around in my head are making me loopy!!

Good luck on the job interview

I have been out of work a year now so I know hard that is. You could accept the mod to bring the account current and then later go thru Naca if you fall behind again. We got a modification in 2/08 when hubby got first paycut, all they did was tack on 2 payments and go forward, but when I lost my job in june 08 couldn't get anywhere with CW so we went with Naca at that time and got 2 mods using them and now have a 5% rate.

The Job interview went well, I just hope i get it. We havent decided yet if we are gonna go the NACA route or just take it. We will see.

She just call me to let me know review of paperwork will take 30 days

., and she'll call me back in 30 days., if not I have to call her, but I have to wait 30 days.... but meanwhile should I sent 1 payment to be onlt 30 and not 60 days behind.

You have to make your own decision there but NACA told us to make the payment if we could and don't if we couldn't. We made ours while we could.

Well i got the job and started this past moday. We saved the house from bank foreclosure and now have the HOA threats to foreclose... it never ends... Half the past due HOA fees are attorney fees tacked on top of late fees. We submitted a payment plan of what we could afford and they denied it sending us one back with way higher payment plus interest and more attorney fees. HOA's are the devil.
