Moe and his staff are incredible caring people and has been very helpful. I hired an attorney from the Loansafe website. Submitted all my paperwork for a loan modification back in July 08Had to pay CW an additional one time $4400.00 fee to consider my loan mod on top of my monthly payments. Around Dec of last year, approx 4 1/2 months later we find out that amazingly the VP that was working my case has left and no one can find the file? How convenient. Anyway had to re-submit everything mid Dec of last year. (sounded very familiar as with other posts I have read) Well, I found out today another 60 days had past after I re-submitted that CW has some proposed terms. I don't have them yet but am very nervous after what I have read from other individuals posts about how their "revised" terms suck!. My attorney emailed me asking how much of a contribution payment I can make? Contribution payment? I won't speak to my attorney till Monday but was curious if anyone else had to do this? Is CW looking for another lump sum in order to give me terms? Thanks |

Countrywide will ask you for many contributions, but will not send you anything in writing for the contribution. They insist they cannot negotiate until they recieve these funds. I recommend you dont send any money until they give you the information in writing with an explanation for where all these fees are going to. Lenders seem to be doing this and just taking your money and telling you that you still have to send them more money for other reasons, so that you dont fall into foreclosure. They have done this to me in the past and they have drained all my resources. I did get my modification, but not a loan reduction. My rate was lowered to 4.5% when it was originally 8.75%. It took alot of contributions that should have been in writing. I am now trying to fight for the funds that I have sent them and they have no idea where they went. So be very careful when sending contributions over the phone. |

When my papers arrived on Friday, they are not asking for any money and making my first payment due in April so I don't have to pay in March. |
