Hello all. My first time posting her. I have been reading the info for a while. I thought I had everything under control with my loan mod. I started it 12/4/08 and called every other day to check up on it. Not that I got any information. The las call I made was on 2/2/09. The lady actually told me that everything looked good and my information was being pulled. She also told me I was going to get the best mod program because I am in Michigan. On 2/4/09 I looked online in the morning at my loan mod status and this is what I saw. Workout Status Details: Your Loan Modification has been canceled from workout servicing because we have not received required information which was requested from you. Please be advised that normal collections activities will resume on your loan. Please continue to explore alternative options to bring your account current. If there is any change in your financial situation, please call for reconsideration. Thank you. Information as of: 02/04/2009 Workout Stage: Canceled Phase/Sub-Phase: Borrower Did not Return Information I was dumbfounded as they never requested any more info from me than what I sent on 12/4/08. I called that day and was told that it was canceled because of inacurate finacial info. I asked why they did not call me to get what they needed and she just said "I dont know" No I am told I have to start completley over and might not get approved this time. I am going to call my state AG this afternoon and let them know what has happened. It is very strange that it was 2 months to the day from the start to being canceled. I am wondering if anyone else has had this happen. I am at the end of my rope and dont know what to do. If I reaply will I just get the same run around. Any info would be very helpfull. Thanks.

| Re: Workout Stage: Canceled Zebra, Glad you found the forum and posted. I'm sorry you have encountered this proble, many others have also. Have you concidered contacting NACA https://www.naca.com/refinance/refinanceSubmission.jsp to help you along ? They are a non -profit that helps homeowners in dealing with their servisers. Sometimes, having them behind you gets the process to flow a little smoother.

Re: Workout Stage: Canceled That does not sound right at all. I would keep calling CW until you get someone that can help....and calling your AG is a good idea, too. Let them know what happened and how you've been treated. I'd also send AG an email explaining what happened. It's specified in the settlement that CW is not supposed to handle these 'cases' in such a crappy manner....(not exactly in those words!) Good luck....and I hope someone else can offer some info too. Don't give up!!!

Re: Workout Stage: Canceled This is why I've been faxing everything to countrywide at least 3 times each. There are too many stories like this and when you call to verify the reps will say anything. Faxes are always either cut off or missing.. ALWAYS FAX everything 3+ times... Restart the process with CW then call NACA.

Re: Workout Stage: Canceled The only faxes they asked for were on 12/4/08 and the showed up as being recived on 12/5/08 ont there website. Now that has also dissapered. Im gonna talk to CW and my state AG on my lunch break and see if I can get some info. I will go through Naca tonight. Thanks. It is just so wrong what they are doing to people. If they needed more info they should have asked and not just cancelled the mod. I think there is probably more to it.

Re: Workout Stage: Canceled We are in Michigan too, CW told us back in December that we would automatically qualify due to the to AG settlement. But, then said we didn't qualify, never even posted a notice to that effect on line, just when we called. Call NACA, we did, and are now waiting on a response to our restructure. I tried writing Attorney General Cox by the way about the issue, he never responded. Maybe if enough of us write he will see that CW is not following the settlement.

Re: Workout Stage: Canceled We also wrote to Senators Levin and Stabenow letting them know our experience with CW Didn't get a response, but it doesn't mean it was not received and noted. Write to them too. They won't know how people are being treated unless we let them know.

Re: Workout Stage: Canceled I am in Michigan too and I am very insatisfied with how my modification has been handled. I too will contact the AG. Levin and Stabenow. My modification is not complete. On top of that, Countrywide mistakenly paid my property taxes in advance. They now acknowledge that it was their mistake. But now they have tacked $500 onto my normal payment to repay them for the taxes and they've created an escrow account going forward as well. I'm so frustrated.

Re: Workout Stage: Canceled I spoke with CW on my lunch break yesterday. Had to talk to 3 people but got one that said that they do not know why my loan mod was cancelled. It shows my info that was needed in there computer system and being recived on 12/4/08. Before this I was given the name of my negotiator but they did not have a number for him. The lady that gave me some info tried to find the negotiator in the system and told me there is no such person. She said she would e-mail the negotiation dept but did not know if they would be able to continue on the same loan mod. Also I would not be able to find out as they dont have any numbers to that dept and that dept does not call people. I also had to fax over all my info again. It feels like the same old run around. I E-mailed my AG and will call today. I am trying to get something to happen but I think I will just have to use NACA.

Re: Workout Stage: Canceled I never did get a negotiator to best of my knowledge. I have a friend who is an atty. and he wants to send my financials to CW, himself, hoping they don't get lost again, probably wont help. The whole thing makes me nauseated.

Re: Workout Stage: Canceled I recived the letter from CW yesterday on why the cancelled my loan. Under reason(s) it is just blank. How can they cancell the mod but not give any reason at all. I talked to 3 different people yesterday and they all don't know why it was cancelled but can give me no further info. This stinks and smells like the same old CW.

Re: Workout Stage: Canceled I contacted CW the 1st week in November 2008 to let them know my payment would be late. I talked to a very nice lady that introduced me to a new program which she felt might benefit me since I had a current fixed rate of 10.25% that was scheduled to adjust 7/09., It was of course the loan modification program. It sounded to good to be true, so I applied. In the interim I was told to hold my mortgage because all payments were temporarily suspended until a determination had been made by CW. On 12/4/2008 I recieved my package, I could'nt believe it, lowered my mortgage, $768.00, from $1926 to $1158, offered a interest rate of 6.25% and my November/December payments were tagged on to the end of the loan, with no payment due until 2/09, All of this was just to good to be true and yes I mailed the package back with paystubs as requested. In February 2009 I began making the $1158.00 payment as in the agreement plus I included the 326.00 escrow payment that's mentioned in the agreement(1484) sent 2/09, 3/09 by 4/09. All of a sudden, I forsee a problem, why are my payments online being put to the side? I immediately started contacting countrywide every other day to find out what was going on " oh everything is ok but, why have I not received any monthly statements and my payments continue to be put to the side? After numerous phone calls and getting the same ol' same ol'... on 4/24/09 I faxed over a letter to Countrywide to the attention of " Supervisor of the Home Retention department", I included all of my approved modification docs, money order reciepts etc....and I guess that pissed somebody off....The next day I went on line and got a message,,,," your loan has been cancelled from workout, please try back for reconsideration." I hit the roof.... after six months. I have a print out stating loan approved and completed dated December 24, 2008. Now here's the new scenario...... No payment 11/08,12/08 ( per conversation with customer service rep in order to qualify for the loan modification - all payments are suspended remember??), Approved 12/08 no payment due until 2/09 (January not due based on agreement). Made February, March and April payment under agreement for 1158.00 not requested, but included the additional 326.00 for escrow = 1484 a difference now from the old loan of $442.00, this went on for three months = $(1326) plus no payment 11/08, 12/08 or 1/09 payment of 1926 each = 5778. per this modification crap. The way I see it countrywide has caused me to be about $7104.00 in the hole based on pure irresponsibility, deception and negligence. I made my May 2009 & June 2009 regular payments of 1926.00 but there now appears to be arrears due to error ( 7104 to be exact). I've been looking on line at Chapter 13 if the mod does'nt fly and even that's scarry....It may relinquish some of my debt but that 10% interest rate will adjust making it even more difficult to make payments even with the bankruptcy..... Believe it or not I have not received any correspondence from countrywide since the 1st modification dated 12/4/08, no calls or anything. I re-applied on 5/5/09 and I call three times a week - the same old BS, its in workout and no guarantee. Come July 5,2009 it will be two months, the online view says contact us by 6/9 we should have more information but they don't, today is June 22,2009 no update. I'm just about ready to write the CW CEO's, congress, senators, head of housing and naca, who ever will listen. Thanks open for your comments P.S. After so many phone calls, I did find out how they determine your monthly income. example.... a biweekly salary of 2351.00 divided by 2 = 1175, 1175 x 52 weeks = 61,126, $61,126 divided by 12 months = 5093. your monthly income is 5093.00.
