Countrywide Home Retention Fax Number

I've been trying all week to fax Countrywide my financial information and can't get the fax to go through. I've tried all of the fax numbers that I've found on this site and LoanWorkout.org, to no avail.

does anyone have a good fax number or good technique to get a fax to go through with these guys?

Welcome to the forum. Some of the numbers posted on earlier forum posts are no longer "good" since the restructuring of CW with BOA.
You may want to give a call to the Home Retention number for CW at (800) 262-4218 to obtain a good fax number.

The first number I was using was the number that they gave me. Maybe I'm retarded or something. I thought I knew how to use a fax, but when I fax these people, it does the intro fax communication signal several times over, then it just gives me the fast busy signal. Is this because a million others just like me are trying to fax in at the same time? I went up last night during super bowl intentionally to hopefully get around this, but was unsuccessful. any insight?

I'm no fax expert either, in fact, I dont even own a landline. If you have a kinkos or mailbox etc.lace around where you live, they usually have a fax service. Thats what I use.
