I find this strange. They said the investor was Greenpoint. Greenpoint was a subsidiary of CapitalOne. CapitalOne closed it down but the servicer continued to be Greenpoint. CW then became the servicer in November 2008. I'm surprised that Greenpoint/CapitalOne didn't sell the loan off to a new investor. How can I confirm with certainty who, in fact, the investor really is? |

All you can do to confirm that is to call again............they are not at liberty.........due to the pooling and servicing agreements that are in place with these investors to give this information...........but as I stated sometimes you will get a rep that will...........they really have no reason to give you a different investors name if that isn't your investor.
