Countrywide giving run around Hi everyone, I'm new to this so bare with me. I will try to get right to the point. I JUly 2008 I called CW to get a loan mod. before my rate increased. I did all the paper work, talked o a negotiator and in October my negotiator told my that my mod was approved and my package would be in the mail. she also told me my new payment and when it would begin. Paperwork never came so I called back and they told me that I had to start the process all over again with no explaination. So I did, I kept calling and finally they said it was approved and the paperwork would be coming. That night I get my acccount online and it said I was denied by investors guidelines. Is there a number to a supervisor or a higher up to find out why they say I'm approved and everything is going out in the mail then I find out that I am denied.

Re: Countrywide giving run around Hi, I had the same issue. I finally contacted someone with the Home Preservation called Nova Debt. I called Friday, January 2nd. I talked to a loan counselor for about an hour. Gave her all of my financial information and explained that my rate increase and frustration at the run around with Countrywide. I had been calling up to 3x/day and could literally get two answers from one person. She called with me on the phone and again got ridiculous information. She was appalled at the information I was given. We then called the HOPE team and again I was told my information wasn't there. Make a long story short: She forwarded on my file to her supervisor. On Thursday she said that her supervisor had forwarded it on to Countrywide. Friday morning she had a negotiator who had contacted her. Friday afternoon I got a call from Countrywide with my modification back to the orig. rate and Sat morning (at 11 am) I received my fed ex package. Amazing!!! In the meantime I have received a call from NACA and I was told I could still try to do a restructure to a better rate as my orig rate was 8.28. I am going to accept the modification and go forward with the restructure. I made an appt with NACA for a phone session on Sat. 1/10 @9 am. And I was called precisely at 9 am. My suggestion is to go through one of the agencies available. I wish I would've known this information when I submitted my paperwork in October!!!

Re: Countrywide giving run around I hear ya! I hate how they make it sound like you are qualified but really when you get down to it you aren't. Then on top of it to be told denied , approved and really denied! Should be illegal!
