Situation becoming Urgent Glad I found this great site in helping with our CW story. I guess my biggest question after readind many posts is... Should we try working with NACA or PHFA, HOPE etc alongside working with CW?? CW offered us some 5yr deal as Ive seen so have many others, but, nothing from them since our phone call. Is this PHFA (we are form Pa) an organization that could help if not who and should we use tandem with CW?? Thanks for the great info

| Re: CW Help! Hi 2312shooter, Welcome to the forum and thank you for joining.............. You may want to work with NACA to help you with CW because they will propose a fixed low rate for the life of the loan instead of just a 5 yr. which is the reason that many are working with them to negotiate with CW and the investor on their behalf............ click on the link to see how to get started........ https://www.naca.com/refinance/refinanceTenStep.jsp

Situation becoming Urgent I couldnt find my original post to continue but apparently our hardship letter was not good enough everything was faxed in and the next day denied.Since 3 weeks before the holidays I was laid off working on and off since.Since then I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and I am very uncertain what my work future holds. We have been working w CW since April tellin them we were going to have a problem in Nov when our pymt hit $4000 mo.My wife is working her tail off trying to pay the bills and with my health becoming an issue Im afraid she may be the only one working here for a while until Im done my fight. We did find out our loan was with the Bank of New York.Should we contact them? Can we? Dec is the first mo we fell behind but we are all square again..this is how it will be if I am not working full time. We have an ARM that adjusts every 6 mos it is currently at 12% and the other is a interest only w/ baloon note.Surely there is a better loan for us.We make good money we just had low credit scores. Now CW wants us to miss payments and gives us smart comments like get rid of your fancy cars and cable/internet so you can pay your mortgage. We dont have fancy cars we have high int rate loans and we have come a long way on making that better now they want us to ruin what we worked so hard for.We looked at selling an were 50k upside down.Just looking for some advice.I dont have the energy to fight anymore and I know my wife will just walk if I let her take over. Thanks for you input

Re: Situation becoming Urgent I'm sorry, I'm not a moderator, but am just levid reading your post at Countrywide! Can you possibly cc your govenor, senators and representatives? Here in Washington, our politicians are very interested in how the banks are treating their fellow Washingtonians. And that interest is for situations far less dire than yours. I'm so sorry that you're having to deal with Countryslime at this difficult time!

Re: Situation becoming Urgent Good Morning Shooter, If you have a phone appointment scheduled with NACA, I would suggest faxing all your requested information before that date. Good luck to you and keep us posted.

Re: Situation becoming Urgent OK... we are now 18 months behind, countrywide has included all of past due as well as the original chapter 13 arrears, our automatic stay has been lifted, we faxed our hardship letter info to countrywide12/14/2008, we called a real person 12/30/2008, she took our info and said thy got our doc's,then on 12/31/2008 it showed on my online account that we were in processing phase do not call us back until 1/21/2009, ok.., we have been checking the website everyday, sometimes twice or more... still saying no doc's received, but says do not call before 1/21/2009... well, i couldn't stand it any longer, so i called 1/9/2009, the gal told me that they still haven't received any docs!!! I then asked her to give me the fax numbers again, she did, so I preceded to refax doc's to BOTH fax numbers,in the meantime I decided to try to sign up with NACA, and guess what!, NACA doesn't have an office within 100 miles does any one have any suggestions or any numbers that i can call to get an online appointment with NACA?

Re: Situation becoming Urgent we don't have a local naca office here either, we did online submission of information, faxed paystubs and mortgage statement ( you can printout cover sheet) then scheduled a phone appointment online, the counslor calls you at a prearanged appointment time.
