Countrywide in Default

I called CW and told them my circumstances and that I was not able to make the payment since my spouse had walked out and left me footing the bill. What measure is there for me to take to keep my home from going into foreclosure, I am almost to months behind and things are only getting harder. Is there help for those struggle to get back on track. Is so please direct me in the right direction.

Re: Help...close to foreclosure!

If there is a solution to getting back on track would someone please address issue and get back with me. I'm doing the best I can, the only help CW wanted to offer is that I pay a higher mortgage, as if I'm not already struggle with the rate I have.

Hi Bumfuzzled,

Welcome to the forum and thank you for joining...........

You can try going through NACA instead...............click on the link for the info.............
https://www.naca.com/refinance/refinanceTenStep.jsp

If you meet the criteria, they will help put together a modification proposal to present to your investor and CW.

Re: In Foreclosure, need help

Hello ***,
Thanks for replying to my post on yesterday evening. I do not have a computer at home therefore I have to do whatever transaction I can at work. I too have talked with the representative at CW. They are the first group of uncaring individual companies I have come accross. One representative suggested that I ask my church, neighbors, or family members if I could borrow the money to catch up then, somehow pay them back. I explained to him that I was in finanicial hardship due to my husband walking out of the home less than a year of purchasing it. I was appalled to even hear him suggest that I ask my church or family, that alone asking my neighbors. I understand that you stated that I could go to naca to apply for loan modification. Will this increase my payment or restructure it to where I will be able to pay the mortgage, insurance and taxes too.

Re: Countrywide in Default

NACA works to restructure the payment if you meet their criteria, to be a more affordable rate and a fixed rate for the life of the loan......and they base it income.
