I was thinking about sending an email to our pal Cindi. I am guessing her address is cynthia_martinez@countrywide.com
Am I right? I have not yet requested the QWR. I will look into that somemore. Probably should have done that already.
Do you have her # as well? The customer service girl only gave me her extention. Do you know if she is in the Lancaster office? I only live about 10min away from their servicing center, so maybe I can go in and be her "little assistance woman" for the both of us! HAHA!

| | | Re: Does Countrywide really want my Condo? Way to share and help one another. This is exactly how I envisioned Loan Safe morphing into. Homeowners/people helping one another and sharing information to make each others lives easier.
The more numbers, emails and insider tips, the more homes that will be saved. Great job James and Shannon and as always, Poppy and Daniel and ll the others who have helped members. | | Re: Does Countrywide really want my Condo? | |

| | | Re: Does Countrywide really want my Condo? I would do the QWR. It never hurts. Most of the time you will get help right away before the 20 days is up. It helped me very much.
Neat to see two CW's clients with same agent. We had the same situation with ASC. We both have the same negotior, Stepanie Jenkins.
I wish you both success with CW. Stay on top of them and hopeful you both will receive a Loan Modification very soon.

Thanks in advance for all your communications. What a learning curve.
So if I understand? As you know I did a refi on my second in 2006. I needed 18,000 to pay off a 15% loan. It was an RV, which I sold. All of this was eliminate all debt and put myself in a better position for my upcoming refi in April 08. CW, encouraged me to take the loan. Interest rate from 10.5 down to 7.75. They told me that it would help me when I decided to refi. They tried to get me to take over $40,000K but I only got what I needed and still had some equity left over. So the loan amount went from 58K To 78K (I’m rounding the figures here). So now if I just walk away, I would be on the hook for the entire 78K not just the 20K I borrowed against my equity. I was told that I would just be 1099 for the 20K if anything bad happened. And now I’m told it’s not their responsibility to inform me that the refi changes all conditions regarding recourse. Now I feel like an idiot and I feel duped.
I would be glad to show you any of my documentation if it would help. At the end of the day I just want to put myself in the best position possible to negotiate. Hell at this point I would just like to keep pace with my newest friend Shannon and actually get a call FROM CW. I probably should not get too greedy though, this is only day 27 of the process for me.
Thanks again,

Yes, you are correct about the e-mail address. They will sometimes change the underscore to a period. The only # I could get was her internal extension (six digits) as well. Her office is located in Tempe, AZ
I just got off the phone with CW and the nice girl told me to call back in a week. I told her I hope I get her on the phone tomorrow when I call back to check for any updates.
The only documentation that I have sent is paystubs and hardship letter. I wonder if I will be holding up the process down the road by not being proactive and sending bank statements and monthly budget or should I just sit tight and send docs as requested? I can produce these docs in a Bank of New York second.

| | | Re: Does Countrywide really want my Condo? Hi James,
I left a nice email for our negotiator on Fri and Cyndi finally called today, unfortunately I did not speak with her. She left her # for me to call her or any rep back. I spoke with another workout guy who needed my financial info...again. Yeah right, they still haven't received my info! Whateva, Sent it 3X now... BS!
I was able to get some promising information. He said that my investor was Bank of NY and that B of NY pretty much gives CW the decision in whether a loan mod is given. Everything is done on a case by case basis and that my case was lookin good! (No lates, strong income) When they do get all my info again, it will be about a 30 day process.
I was able to get Cyndi's correct email, as well as her supervisor. Maybe this will come in handy for you. I guess CW has 3 or 4 Cynthia Martinez. Cynthia_D_Martinez@Countrywide.Com, Sheri_Harper@Countrywide.Com
Good luck,

Well it looks like your making progress. And that by itself is great news. Do you think the email did it? I also have Bank of NY, in good standing, so that’s really super good news. I am so glad I did not take the advice of the first CW representative I spoke with. I was told that if I wanted my file to rise to the top “I might consider stopping payments to get their attention”. I sent a QWR for both of my loans on Friday. Thanks for the correct emails. I have Jury Duty for the month of February. I have to go in today so they are going to get a break.
Thanks for the update. I have faith will get there.

I am so happy for you. You sound like your happy and giving me a little hope. I have some questions about the negotiating part but don’t know if we can or want to divulge that info here. Now a little update on my story. I have been calling on a daily basis just for any updates and just to let them know I’m going to stay on this continually. My process is not going as smooth as some. They now said I do not qualify for a loan mod because I have never been late or behind. Now they say I have been submitted for a rate reduction as apposed to a mod. My new negotiator is Erica Loud. She was assigned my case on Jan 24th and has 30 days to get a hold of me. I have documented every call made, with names, dates and so on. I have not yet ever spoken to a negotiator. I also have not received my WQR documentation within the 20 days. Don’t yet know how to get the ball rolling on that. Thought that was a law or right or something. They say that because I am not going to adjust until April 1st that I am not a priority.
Just hanging in for now.

| | Re: Does Countrywide Really Want My Condo? Hi James,
They told me the same thing about qualifying for a rate reduction only, but in my eyes I got a loan modification. Go figure! Maybe a modification is for the term of the loan and not just a freeze.
I am not sure about the QWR timeline. I got a call the next day after they received my QWR request. It was the best thing that I did. My rep at the Off of Pres said that she was going to expedite my case. You should send off another letter to the office of the Pres. about customer service.
I think that your right about not being a priority. I would think that you will get the mod before you adjust in April. so just sit tight, It will happen. I know it!
Good to hear from you,
