I'm not sure if this had anything to do with me receiving the LM, but about a month before I got the Fedex I had called to try to workout a repayment plan but could not financially commit to any of the options they gave me. Some had me paying $1000 more per month to catch up when I couldn't afford my current payment!!
I doubt
CW is that organized to have sent my repayment request to be considered for LM--I think I was granted this due to the fact that I had been running about 2 months behind for most of this year. My loan is a 30 year fixed conventional 6.25 that they moved to 4.25 and 40 year term, no fees, just tacked on the 2 months' payments that I was behind to the principal amt. Truly a blessing because like everyone else on here it has just been an impossibly stressful situation and I am extremely thankful.
