Re: Countrywide modification papers signed but now I have terrible credit score, and unemployed

Hi Yanqui,

The substitution of trustees sale is a notice that is telling you your home will be foreclosed on on the date displayed. But if Aug.17th is correct you have time to still fight and keep your home. Dont give up now continue to try for a modification and save your home. As far as a principle reduction it is very unlikely, but as far as a better rate and new term that is totally possible. Please keep us posted on how the process is going!

Re: Countrywide modification papers signed but now I have terrible credit score, and unemployed

Time elapsed since first contact with COUNTRYWIDE. 18 months..

Amazing. Still here. Still have two properties. One ? Mine, I'm trying to save, but now all I get are call centers in Costa Rica, and India.

Angrier by the minute just because the fact is that Bank of America gets bailed out to the tune of billions and American jobs are being done overseas.. Incredible.

Update.. same place we were when we started. I got a postponment on the sale to sept. 16th. Whatever... I have saved a nice little bundle since January and my renter has at least paid half of her rent so whatever..

Re: Countrywide modification papers signed but now I have terrible credit score, and unemployed

Hi hope67,

Yes, I have been employed since 6/01/09. (Thank God) Long hours, and lots of overtime for now.

I stopped making payments on my primary last 1/01/09 and my investment property I have not made a payment since 11/01/08.

I started to contact countrywide before I fell behind 4/13/08.
Last summer I told countrywide that I would mail the keys to my investment property, and they modified the loan at 4.75% and extended the years from thirty to forty, which knocked off six hundred dollars. But they still went ahead and placed foreclosure paperwork on the property and the renter stopped paying rent. Which caused me to miss my home payment.

That pretty much sums it up. Except for my two surgeries that caused me to be unemployed in the first place.

Congrats Yanqui on finding a job!!

I also contacted BOA when I was still current, I told them that I will not be able to make my payments and requested a loan modification. They told me that I do not qualify at that point and to call them when my account is past due!!! I'm now in a HAMP trial, I made my 1st payment, my next payment is due October 1st.

Did you try again to submit a request for modification after you got the job?

Yanqui,

So glad you found a job, after all that stress and time! What kind of work are you doing? I hope you like it and it's a keeper, for now. Of all people, you certainly deserved a break. So, your primary is modified and the investment one is going to foreclosure? Whatever happens, good luck! Hope the job works out, lllllloooooooonnnnnggggggg term for ya!
