Country wide forclosure/modification process!!

hi my home is under my uncles name, and it is currently in forclosure, my husband lost his job in nov and since december we have not been able to pay, we have 1 mortg at 7.25 adjustable and a line of equity also adjustable for 60k. in total it comes out to 335k. we are in the process of a mod. however in that process we were told no more collection and then got served 2 weeks later after req the mod. we were told that it is ok that they still have to serve us even if we are req a mod. i guess my question is : i have been w the mod process for 2 months now! and i call every week , 2-3 times a week to ask and they tell me that it is still in process... they wont accept my payment on any of the loans... and i have already submitted all the income paper wrk that they req. since i live in the home w my uncle , husband and my 2 kids they accepted my income as well ,should i just wait on country wide's ans ? or hire an attorney? ? ?

what happens if they do not accept my mod req , after all this time ?

and then my most important question of all :

my uncle is the only one oon the title and loan, however how did he get approved for these payments (2300.00xmnth) at the time of the loan? i was told that it was cause he had good credit, however dont they have to do a job search or income search? i now come to find out that the mortg comp that did the loan might have lied and said that he made 90k a year!!!! when my uncle does not make more than 40k a year!!!!!!!!

should i look into that?? do you think that is a good point or something i should hire an attorney for????

Welcome to the forum and thank you for joining.............

Since you have everything into Countrywide already, what you could do is to call into the exectutive team and see if you are assigned a negotiator yet, as this would be the next step. Follow up on that and if you feel that you may need additional help you may want to have your docs reviewed for the predatory lending violations...........
