Multiple changes to sales date on old countrywide and now boa loan

Has anyone had their old countrywide sales date postponed and continually rescheduled? My original sales date was in the summer of 2010. Then heard nothing for about a year. Then BOA sent a new NOD with a sales date at the end of feb. 2012. It then was changed to the end of march 2012. As far as I know, the sale still has not happened. Does anyone know the best way to verify what is really going on as far as how to verify when the sale actually goes through. recontrust is the company that posts the sales date, but it is never accurate and I always get conflicting information from them. Go figure they are wholly owned by BOA. Is ther a better way to monitor what is really going on? Thanks to everyone on this forum.

    Hey snowrunner,

It is common for a foreclosure date to be postponed for an additional 1-3 months if the homeowners is actively looking to avoid foreclosure.. But over a year, it sounds like they are having trouble finalizing the foreclosure or maybe their foreclosure department just somehow missed your account and that is why there is such a huge delay.. What state are you located in?

Evan-- this property is in Idaho. I gave up on the modification process long ago, as they were unreasonable and wasting my time. I believe recontrust at one time was illegally foreclosing in several states at about that time frame. But after receiving a new NOD and a new sales date , it has since been delayed 2 more times. Do you know the best way to inquire or find out what the status of the forclosure is? it would be nice to know from my end. Also this property is unoccupied and has been ever since the first sales date was given to me. Thanks

Have you since checked on the home since it has been unoccupied? You can check the status of the home on your local county recorders website and it should list accurate information and timelines in regards to your foreclosure.. Recontrust is usually pretty accurate with their sale dates, but yours is hard to keep track of since they are continually postponing the sale..

I had this occur. Left my home approximately June of 2009. There were about 7 sale dates. The deed was put back into BofA's name August of 2012. This was originally countrywide loan. I wish I knew then what I know now....could have stayed there for 3 yrs rent free. I had a friend check with a friend to get me updated sale dates. I have no idea why it changed so many times over the years. I'm in Las Vegas....things are a mess.

I'm very sorry to hear that akakooper as you could of saved up major $$ during the time it took them to complete the foreclosure. That is very surprising they postponed the sale date 7 times because generally they will only do so if you are still residing in the property and actively trying to avoid foreclosure..

Evan--- still no new sales date on my property in Idaho. This has been going on for years now, and have not heard a thing. I think BOA is still in a lot of trouble with lawsuits and also want to avoid taking so much losses on their books to try and help the stock price. It's interesting how long this is taking to foreclose.
