Countrywide Home Loans

I have received loan Modification documents from The Hope Team Countrywide via fedex but they haven't stated on the documents for long will my payments will be fix or adjustable only the amount added to my loan the new balance , new payment amount date due and Maturity Date which stays the same. THe documents say the interest rate and monthly payment will adjust in accordance with the note, Adjustable rate rider and any other loan that is affix to or incorporated into the note and rider.
For me that means that my original rate 6.94 it changed 6/01/08 the next change is 12/01/2008 the modification is temporarely and adding the payments behind (6) to the new balance .The Hope Team said that the rate will be fix for 5 years but when i called countrywide they said that they are the only ones that can make the chage . Are they Separate Company's?. I proof to this people that my income lower and my child had surgery on 6/01/2008 and still there help is so little. If someone has same situation that i have with the Modification documents did the The Hope Team kept there word.

Saint,
Welcome to the forum and thank you for joining!
From what I read, it sounds more like a repayment plan? I may be wrong...were you behind on payments before contacting them?

*** or Moe will be by to give you some good direction..hang in there!

Welcome, this is a great forum lots of useful info and people be patient and good things will come.

I just got out of my Strong Arm Loan 100% paid off from a contact here.... No obligation to repay since there are so many federal violations with my loan they cut me a check upon signing over large amount of any settlement or judgment.

best couple hundred I ever spent for an attorney.

good luck with your loan mod don't sign countrywide liability waiver... with out a loan audit....

Thank you for the response and here is what paragraph 5 reads of the loan modification documents: As part of the consideration for this agreement , Borrower agrees to release and waive all claims might against the lender and or its agents and arising from any act or omission to act on the part of the lender, its agents, officers, directors, attorneys, employees and any precessor-in-interest to the note and security instrument, and which borrower contends caused the borrower damage or injury or which the borrower contends renders the note or security instrument void.,voidable,or uneforceable. This release extends to any claim arising from any foreclosure proceedings, if any, conducted prior to the date of this agreement . Borrower has and claims no defenses, counterclaims or rights to offset of any kind against lender or agent lender. Yeah that's what i think this is just a repayment plan but why this people lied they just want you to sign the documents with a notary and they can do what ever they want with our loans .Any people that have worked with Countrywide THE HOPE TEAM PLEASE REPLY.

Re: Countrywide Home Loans

They are referring you to the Customer Advocacy Group..........if you had questions on your modification that is most likely why.........since that is where the documents came from.........
