Countrywide: Help Needed

Hello everyone, New member Here. I'm in need of help with my Countrywide loan. I currently hold a mortgage with Countrywide which just increased in July to 10.99% with a $190,000.00 balance. On May 8th, 2008, I contacted Countrywide to re-modify my loan. I was told the process would take 30 days. On June 10th, 2008, I was told the modification was denied because of my income. I was told by the countrywide rep. that I should contact someone from 1-800-hope now.

I contacted someone from HopeNow on June 11th, 2008. Debra Winston took down all my information and told me she would forward everything to Countrywide. She also stated that I should not have any problems. I didn't hear from Countrywide till today, and that's because I called them. I was told By Countrywide that I was denied again because my investor stated that I did not qualify. I asked what Investor, CW said that they were not at liberty to give out that information. I really don't know what to do next. I am only 30 days late on my mortgage, never late in the past 10 years.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank You, Mark.

Hello Mark and thanks for joining Loan Safe!

This happens often and things can and do get mixed up when trying for a loan modification. Can you tell me what you income and expenses are because that seems to be why they keep denying you. Maybe we can help you by looking at that.

Re: Countrywide: Help Needed

Thanks. But we need "total living" expenses. Everything from gas, food, insurance, braces, everything. At $3,700 total expenses, you would not qualify for a loan modification.
