Well this site is booming which to say is good but so sad for all that is going on in this country with subprimes etc. that a site such as this is needed. Thanks Moe for your foresight.
Anyway I have just received my QWR docs (or maybe some of them) and seeing that I have no idea all that is in them and all that I should be looking for I definitely felt the need to get an attorney on board as it would probably take me until after the foreclosure to understand it all. These are from Homecomings.
Some updates. Isn't it odd how people start actually acting like people again when they are sent QWR requests? Why is this?
CW has called me 3 times now (1time was my negotiator) saying another department would be contacting me in regards to a mod program. Wonder what all this is about now. Why would Mitigation department be sending me to some other department? Saying initially that we would pay a certain amount upfront then 3 regular mortgage payments as in the past and then a modification. Does this make sense?
As far as Homecomings we have had to turn this over to an attorney as it became very clear to us that we definitely were not being turned over to the right department. On top of this the amount of time needed at least for our case to be on the phone (on hold most of the time) left little time to work and I do not think the Mortgage companies would accept a hardship letter saying i could not work because i had to spend so much time on the phone trying to get someone or something worked through on my mortgage ARM. All in all they did offer us a plan but every time they did they would say and I quote
"It really does not matter what the papers say because they are not a legal document." Well if they are not legal documents then why do they need them signed?
The papers were never anything close to what they were telling us on the phone. Every time we asked them to put what they were telling us in writing they would reply. "We would love to but we cannot as the form we are sending to you is the only one we have."
I may not be the smartest turnip on the truck but I really think some of Country Wide associates got tired of the way the business was run in their backyard so they jumped ship and went to work for Homecomings. Some of this is the most eye opening things I have ever heard. (THE ONLY FORMS THEY HAVE) What does this mean. I just do not get it.
I have simply decided that it was far better for us to go to the attorney on this site who by comparison is EXTREMELY reasonable in cost and he will look over all the docs in this cost as well. Also with my husband going away for a month will leave me and the kids here alone if the foreclosure goes through. A bit scary so at least i have all of you and the attorney now.
Moe I have a few more addresses and numbers for Homecomings. Can I provide them for others to use if needed. If so where do I put them.
