Re: Sheriffs Sale date is Feb 24th w/no commitment from Countrywide

Thanks again;
Somedays are good some days most of the day is spent trying not to worry about this. Anyway I am pursuing attorney end right now but wanted to point out that maybe the attorney number that ends in 4764 listed on this sight can correct the 4762 number error that is listed as this wonderful woman that answers the phone indicates that she has been receiving alot of phone calls lately Not mentioning who because I am not sure if we are allowed to.

Lightbulb Re: Sheriffs Sale date is Feb 24th w/no commitment from Countrywide

Ok

Another stupid question from the Mrs. In this mess. I certainly understand what a 2nd mortgage is but wanted to ask with both houses mentioned in my situation the CW Loan Modifier seemed to be very excited that both homes only carried a 1st. Can someone tell me if this is an advantage for me or for them? I don't think I understand why CW would be excited about that?
Sorry for the stupid question but while I am at it can we send them a bill for all the time used to contact them, stay on hold, letter writing missed time with my children etc. Perhaps this would reduce the fees somewhat.

No Bills allowed..... Wish you could, wish you all could, ya' deserve it for the perseverance you have all exhibited and tenacity. Ya' all do.

The reason C Wide was so excited is that they/you just might by some slim chance still actually really have an equity position and they do not have to find the second and notify that pesky second of intentions. Less work for them and the possibility that you are less of a risk in the Mod process as the equity would cause you to be more likely to "keep up your end of the deal". They are excited too as they do not have to factor in the potential loss due to a Second defaulting as well. Wonderfully altruistic folks that they are.

Poppy Oh My goodness

ha HA HA HA HA HAHA HAHAHAHA

Altruistic ha ha ha ha ha.........Countrywide ha ha ha haha ha ha

Sorry for this reply Poppy but that last reply was hysterical. I really did not know what altruistic meant (no not really as dumb as I may sound) so when I put it in the online dictionary and saw the meaning I almost spit my drink all over my computer.

Thanks POPPY laughter really does make things feel better.

Sideways humor is good for the soul, not to mention the mind, keeps it from going over the side......

Watch out, if you recall the Saturday Night Live skit about Coke or Pepsi on the Nuclear Control Panel, that was the vision I received briefly to your description of drink on computer keyboard.... there could be serious repercussions......LOL and laughter is good for the soul.

Re: Sheriffs Sale date is Feb 24th w/no commitment

Well this site is booming which to say is good but so sad for all that is going on in this country with subprimes etc. that a site such as this is needed. Thanks Moe for your foresight.
Anyway I have just received my QWR docs (or maybe some of them) and seeing that I have no idea all that is in them and all that I should be looking for I definitely felt the need to get an attorney on board as it would probably take me until after the foreclosure to understand it all. These are from Homecomings.
Some updates. Isn't it odd how people start actually acting like people again when they are sent QWR requests? Why is this? CW has called me 3 times now (1time was my negotiator) saying another department would be contacting me in regards to a mod program. Wonder what all this is about now. Why would Mitigation department be sending me to some other department? Saying initially that we would pay a certain amount upfront then 3 regular mortgage payments as in the past and then a modification. Does this make sense?
As far as Homecomings we have had to turn this over to an attorney as it became very clear to us that we definitely were not being turned over to the right department. On top of this the amount of time needed at least for our case to be on the phone (on hold most of the time) left little time to work and I do not think the Mortgage companies would accept a hardship letter saying i could not work because i had to spend so much time on the phone trying to get someone or something worked through on my mortgage ARM. All in all they did offer us a plan but every time they did they would say and I quote
"It really does not matter what the papers say because they are not a legal document." Well if they are not legal documents then why do they need them signed?
The papers were never anything close to what they were telling us on the phone. Every time we asked them to put what they were telling us in writing they would reply. "We would love to but we cannot as the form we are sending to you is the only one we have."
I may not be the smartest turnip on the truck but I really think some of Country Wide associates got tired of the way the business was run in their backyard so they jumped ship and went to work for Homecomings. Some of this is the most eye opening things I have ever heard. (THE ONLY FORMS THEY HAVE) What does this mean. I just do not get it.
I have simply decided that it was far better for us to go to the attorney on this site who by comparison is EXTREMELY reasonable in cost and he will look over all the docs in this cost as well. Also with my husband going away for a month will leave me and the kids here alone if the foreclosure goes through. A bit scary so at least i have all of you and the attorney now.

Moe I have a few more addresses and numbers for Homecomings. Can I provide them for others to use if needed. If so where do I put them.

Well, well two sets of altruists now - Country Wide and Homecomings, do you think there might be a "special" reward for them? I have a few very "special" ideas.....

Re: Sheriffs Sale date is Feb 24th w/no commitment

Hi Dreams,
You for sure can post the numbers you have for Homecomings that would be extremely helpful to others working with them..........
Just start a new thread with a heading " loan mod numbers for Homecomings" or something like that in the Loan Modification section and put all your info there.....
Thanks for paying it forward and helping the others here.......
Much appreciated

You are welcome and I am sorry to hear that they are giving you the run around. You tried to do it yourself as I always recommend and then it didn't work You did the right thing by getting help.

Please do share whatever numbers you can. It would be greatly appreciated and please keep us up to date on your progress with the attorney.

Re: Sheriffs Sale date is Feb 24th w/no commitment

Hi all

Moe this site is (how does the commercial go PRICELESS) but from what I can see happening here if something does not happen across the board really quick with these mortgage companies is you folks (moderators etc.) are going to be getting flattened finger tips from all the typing you are going to do with all the new people coming day by day by day. I will definitely keep you in my prayers.

Poppy you are beyond priceless with your wit and humor. Maybe you should write a small booklet to send to all the people on this site when they dive into this process to keep them from drowning. Call it something like
"Man overboard in the lending sea" or something like that and maybe put in things like

Did you hear about the couple that wanted to realize the American dream so they called countrywide and...................

Humor definitely makes the pill go down better.

Re: Sheriffs Sale date is Feb 24th w/no commitment

You should talk with Poppy on the phone. It's even better in person

Your comments are "PRICELESS". Great ideas and yes, for a man that cannot type, my fingers, keyboard and brain is a bit flat. But we will not give up. I am going on 8 months now of doing this.

You gave me some great ideas that I will run with. I want to morph this website into an education tool for consumers, where they know they will come and get the truth at all times.

What a novel idea? Tell the truth....I think people appreciate the truth and that's why this website has taken off. Now, I just need to fugue how we can have the lenders pay us to help their clients out, then that would be fantastic.

Re: Sheriffs Sale date is Feb 24th w/no commitment

Hi Dreams,

Thanks for the comments.............love the book idea for Poppy.
My motto is the more the merrier and although in this circumstance having more people in these situations isn't very merry........we are all here to help one another and it wouldn't matter to me if it were 1 or 1,000,000......we will be ready......Bring It...
I am hoping that the lenders are getting the message.......it would seem that lately they are at least listening to all of us.......and modifications are happening a little more frequently at least on this forum and many more are on the cusp of receiving them in the near future....I have to believe that is a good sign of the things to come..
