Final docs signed sealed and delivered

Our final docs were returned to BOA today marking the end of this 3.5 year ordeal.

Original interest rate:10.25%
New interest rate: 4%
Old payment: 2640.50
New payment: 2360.75
Add past due payments rolled into balance...we haven't **** since 07/07
Terms remain the same so no balloon payment at the end.

While the reduction in payment is not significant, getting out from underneath the 10.25% is welcome relief.

This has been one of the hardest battles we have ever fought...and we didn't do it alone. Prayer was our constant companion and a lot of determination walked by our side. Loansafe helped keep us sane and kept our eyes on the bigger picture. Please don't give up, no matter how hard this may seem. That is exactly what the banks want you to do. Nine months ago, I was told there was nothing left that could be done but I refused to take that answer. Keep calling, emailing, camp out on their door step if you have to but don't give up!! Smile a lot, help someone in need and remember that our biggest prize waits for us behind the pearly gates.

Congratulations!!! I am so happy for you and your family. I really dont know what I would do without this site. I took a break from it for a while after finally getting a trial mod in September, but after making 5 trial payments- almost 6 for February- I almost gave up. It is just too exhausting, but here i find myself once again, and it is stories like yours that keep me going. Thank you to everyone for sharing your experiences, helpful advice, and for renewing my hope!
